Title: Exploring Nei-Go Stream

Project Overview

1. Description of Our Community

Neh-hu Region gains its name after Neh-hu Village in the old days. Neh-hu Region is located in the eastern Taipei City.Hills lie in its eastern snd northern sides ; the Keelung River flows through its western and southern sides. The low central plain is a basin which is like a lake , and that is why it is called Neh-hu (Interior Lake). Heh-hu's beautiful scenery,therefore, is called 'the Backyard of Taipei City.' Heh-gou Stream flows through Tung-hu Area of Neh-hu, and this stream is the boundary with Shih-jih City of Taipei County. This stream originates from Ta-chien-ping Mountains, and meets with Keelung River, 500 meters up ahead of Nan-hu Bridge.

2. Summary of Our Project

Nei-Go Stream,which combines the beautiful scenes of hillocks, lakes,and brooks,is one of the few wild streams with natural ecological resources. It is also the great resort for the locals to ride a bike,have fun in the water, and catch fish. In recent years, in the name of flood prevention by water control, this stream has been contaminated. Moreover,this is not a so called stream, but a disgusting and stinky ditch instead. It is utterly hateful!

We hope to use this designated topic to explore the abundance of Nei-Go Stream,including the natural humanities ecology, birds, and primeval plants, tree frogs, and etc. Due to the efforts of the community and the appeal of the government, environmental protectors make the rare nature classroom possible. Nei-Go Stream, which lies at the edge of the city with the scarce ecological community, stretches the diversified living beings by the environmental breeding. Meanwhile, the life will subsist and multiply through this kind of change under the releasing of the giant power. After realizing the importance of the ecological preservation and environmental breeding nowadays, we hope we can probe more into the impact of the ecoloical conservation on nature.

In the school, adopt and join the computer center in the school for the backbone structure with the optic fibre, and then joined the academic network of Taiwan by T1 special line.

Adopt the main tool inquired about and uploaded as the materials in general ADSL wide-band network at present most at the home.

4. Problems We Had To Overcome

Just beginning when doing webpages, understand nothing Where is not he clear? How to start? It is not clear, the not knowing to start form where of so many adding unidentifiedly, our bottleneck is appearing at the beginning.

When in the input that we want wholeheartedly among them, we find we have lessons to read, there is knowledge to be promoted, the first two on one of ours are old at this moment, we do not know that should shut and can just use our time properly, it is big problems that we have ever met too to still look for the materials that we need, it is that we are too long to understand that must collect the materials first thoroughly to it like this when because at the beginning, so we know we what materials need what materials need on earth at all, is it stick to duplicate all just, we take place we seem some understanding a bit more to interior ditch small stream first after ditch small stream here interview in going through us, there is not a question in the application of time.

5. Our Project Sound Bite

Think about and then after thing, you, in order to enable our works to demonstrate well better, excellent in more excellent realm.

So, in this network circle fair, we have not merely studied the webpage design skill, have also promoted the friendly feelings and friendship each other.

6. How did your activities and research for this CyberFair Project support standards, required coursework and curriculum standards?

We are making webpages and often needing to use Word 2003 or three pieces of PhotoImpact 8 and Dreamweaver MX 2004 these, just began the teacher and did not teach a lot, find the method that some teachers have not taught when I am doing webpages or arraying data, though someone will think whether this was scamp work, of course not, this is named and taken the shortcut, but such a shortcut did us much favor, can help us to save time to save some tedious steps, but clear and easy to understand, we have learnt a bit more early than someone else more even, doing the thing afterwards to stand up will be relatively done in an expert way.

While making webpages, the classmates, certainly different ideas and different suggestions will discuss each other, and will conflict to some extent naturally among them, cooperation is the best method to divide the work, team leader observe each speciality of team member is it is it work to assign to come, so making of webpage come out of whom one can design, it is all right to need everybody's cooperation. Our part that though some classmates are responsible has been finished very fast, but will help the student who is too busy to do it of those, some of us have not made a webpage ability alone yet, but in the course of webpage making this time, everybody can give play to one's own strong point, it is really very rare experience to join forces to finish a work!

2) In what ways did you act as "ambassadors" and spokespersons for your CyberFair project both on-line and in person.

4) How did your project involve other members of your community as helpers and volunteers?
