Project Overview

1. Description of Our Community

Zha Shui solution cavity located in Zha Shui County of Shaan Xi province, which was the south foot of Qin Ling’s east part, the seneray site was 17 kms from south of the county, and 64 kms from Xi’an. In about 17 square KM, had found out 115 solution cavities, discovered 17 and 9 for potential, Buddah’s cavity, Heaven’s cavity, Wind’s Cavity and Hundreds gods cavity are already opened yet.

Zha Shui solution cavity was include as wonderland as karts phenomena, also include charming scenery of mountain peak; Can heard the beautiful sad legend from local people about the ginkgo and also can recognized people who take the knowledge, protect and develop the nature souse for the moment. It was not just particular of physiognomy, also consummate the scenery source of Shaanxi province not just tower, bulking, stele, grave, and terra-cotta figures. In all cavities which developed or undeveloped of China, it has been the most famous cavity because of its charming, extraordinary, beautiful, coarctation and compatible culture of Yellow River and Yangtsz River.

2. Summary of Our Project

Our subject project is Zha Shui solution cavity, mainly take picture, interview, and feedback collection and clear up of Zha Shui solution cavity. During the period, we got help from Qian Xiang Wan Cai Co., and local community’s people etc, that we got lot materials. We try to express our thank from our web page, thank nature brings people such beautiful homeland, thank to people’s co-ordinate spirit. We always keep the tenet of this match – “comity, share”, finally we hope could share Zha Shui solution cavity’s beauty with whole world’s friends thru this match, to share our successes, experience and happiness!

The school and home are always us ADSL, in 10 students with only 2 directors and 1 student’s home were able to get on internet. Most content of the web page were done in school’s computer room, and director use their QQ or email to contact or send files.

4. Problems We Had To Overcome

School’s internet not works well.Use Dreameaver8 edit the web pig’s Flash button, when under IE security level, it always showed security warning, influence guest’s confidant.Not enough interview out of school .Team working time not enough

5. Our Project Sound Bite

Zha Shui solution cavity is not only the nature source, but also the heart homeland. We are not just to protect it, but also protect the local culture which growed up by it, Qin Ling South mountain’s tube suddenly opened the gate of mountain, now we are facing the dangers even on will lose the Zha Shui dialec.

Even through we are not strong enough, but we had already passed this power to our children. During these few months we lost a lot for common target but we get more!

6. How did your activities and research for this CyberFair Project support standards, required coursework and curriculum standards?

In order to creat inaugurate country, ministry of education had public “Re decision of deepen educate innovation, improve diathesis education”, and publiced “Basic educate innovation”. In the Pt. 10 mentioned “Pay attention on bring up to the students independence, guide students to doubt, investigate and dicover, in real study, improve students initiate to learn under director’s instruction. In Pt. 11 mentioned “Try to improve communicate to use in education, improve communication work with lessons together, in order to innovate the lay out of lessons, learning way of the students and teaching way of the teacher step by step. Exert communications’ predominance, to brings students more educate’s envirments and facility. In PT. 5 mentioned “School should exite library, laboratory, class and all kinds of constructions to learn, abroad use outer library, museum, exhibition, tech. Meseum, factory, village, army and sence reaserch dept.’s resourse and nature resourse, to use and develop communicate lesson’s resrouse.

This subject project was started under Shang Luo city to improve lesson’s innovation backgroud, it was had a lot meaning itself. During the period, students not just show their ardor but also get experience never had in study. They tried first time combinade “Chinese”, “arith”, “English”, “Physics”, “Chemistry”, “Biology”, “moral character”, “art”, “Geography”, “History”, “Gym” and “Communication tech.” This time, especially 5 students in order to finish “cavity’s envirment “, they learned how to conformity all information. Even something looks babyhood, but the most impoortant thing is they understand now: the knowlage in the book can be correct, and how to discover and creat new knowlage.

Project Elements

1) What information tools & technologies did you used to complete your CyberFair project?

Software:Dreamever7.0 and 8.0, Frontpage2003, Notepad, MSPaint, Adobe PhotoshopCS, ISee, MSWord, MSPicture Manager, SWFText, ACDSee8, Giftools, Tencent QQ. Hardware: Computer, Digital camera, Scan, Printer, color printer, USB connector, U disk.

Internet: School local internet, ADSL, CISS

2) In what ways did you act as "ambassadors" and spokespersons for your CyberFair project both on-line and in person.

Before interview, we made a detailed schedule (as above), and use MS WORD and color printer print out 10 pcs of name cards for each member; we got chance to meet teacher Wang Anhu of Shi Weng school (which the town Zha Shui cavity located), and introuced to him our school’s web page match, and leave our tel. number, QQ and email box, and he showed his glad to help us to cotact interviewer, later he called us and told us in order to get more useful information, he asked his students to composition and tried to find the interviwer’s information from compositon. Before we started out interview, we got his email, and introduced 4 people to interview, one was the grandpa of student Ye Qian of Shi Weng school named Ye Mingliang, who is the most important interviwer for cavity’s fame. In order to save money, we found Mr. Huo Haidong – G.M. of Zha Shui travel Co.’s telephone number, while we introduced breifly, he admited let us go to Zha Shui cavity freely. Unfortunaly, because lack of experience, we didn’t take picture of him and his office.

Because we marked “Global shool web page match”on name cards, including CCSC Co., opened traning class to make web page in our school and go to Zha Shui cavity together, so wherever we go, we always be welcomed and received in nice way.

3) What has been the impact of your project on your community?

In the campus, since 2007-9-17, we keep one social activity every week and we publicize the content in advance at the blackboard. More and more people and student started to know the web page match. In the information tech classroom, many students are surprised by our webpages and willing to join us. So they joined us by computer drawing. Two of them from grade 7 were adopted by our website.

In the community, many parents has known initially our purpose and aim initially through our printed, name card and school web site, most of them has joined us in person to the information-finding. We also publicized the announcement of web site name and zhashui crevity old photo collecting through “zhashui hot line” local bbs, and also upload our website to the bbs. Many web friend replied us for ideas. One of them, named single miracle” provide 6 name for choice at one time: northern country miracle, historic miracle, zhashui crevity, miracle web site, crave, shan nan miracle cave.

It is believed that with our upload the web site, we can surely strengthen the sense of protection to the natural resources from all parties concerned and the popularity of local tourism resource.

4) How did your project involve other members of your community as helpers and volunteers?

Travel in the movable process, the manager of the company Huo haidong for we all the member of team were free to provide sightseeing a certificate, the stone jar primary school Wang Anhu the teacher help us to contact to be gathered news a person.The stone jar village people Mi Shouyin and Ye Mingliang related to dissolve hole legend and the career of development for us. Appreciate Townandtalent of science and technology(China) limited company provides technique support for us.

5) Discoveries, Lessons and Surprises (Optional)

Founding: through scanning of winning website abstract from previous, We found that because the leisure time is rare, the students from China mainland is in low ability in working and researching and the web condition of school is also a drawback.

Lessons: fund in shortage will affect the implementation of plan.

Surprise: we found an unbelievable stone pole cutting face. Please invite the geographical and cave professor to study and research.
