Project Overview

1. Description of Our Community

we always like to use” large territory with rich natural resource” to describe our homeland. But the in fact, they are not. Because we have a large population, the per capita are far below the world, the situation are very severe.

From the energy total, we ranked second in energy product and consumption. According to the information, till 2004, our oil be explored are 2.3 billion tun, accounting for 1.4 % of world total; the natural gas 2.23 thousand billion stere, accounting for 1.2% of world total; the coal mine are 114.5 billion ton, accounting for 12.6% of world total. About the explored total, according to our specialist's estimation and current exploration level, our oil resource and coal mine will be exhausted till 2030, same case will be happen on water resource. On the quality, we are main on the energy coal mine. As the heat value of all kinds of material currently, in world energy resource, the solid fuel with liquid and air fuel is in 4:1, but we are far behind this ratio. At present, in world energy production, high quality of liquid and air are accounting for 60.8%, but we are only 19.1%.

In 2004, Chinese one time energy consumption total are in 1.97 billion standard coal mine, 15.2% higher than that of last year, in which, the coal mine consumption are in 1.87billion ton, crude oil in 0.29billion, natural gas in 41.5billion stere. From the average per capita, the Chinese has 1.08ton quantity, the 66% of the world average 1.63 ton, and 13.4% of American 8.02 ton, 22.7% of Japanese 3.82ton. from the energy framework, in 2004, the coalmine accounts for 67.7%, oil 22.7%, natural gas 2.6%, water and electron 7.0%, which is just the part of consumption. It is not that negative.

acing this energy situation and shocking statistics, it reminds us should be more calm and objective to Chinese energy issue. We can not be neglective to the current energy. From now on, we should have the idea of save energy and normal consumption.

2. Summary of Our Project

The ba shang area in heibei province is in cold temperature and rich in wind energy. In recent years, in the the environment “ green environmental protection”, the wind energy has become one character resource. Some big enterprise has settled here both home and abroad, which is becoming the biggest wind energy basis all over the country. Now, wind energy has bright future in this area.

One server(windows2003system) , clients30 ? (windows XP system). webnet : ADSL 1M. all the members are no computer and never surf on internet.

4. Problems We Had To Overcome

Lack of experience: this is the first time to attend the match, when start, we lack of sense of direction, and have no idea of how to organize the research.we are nervous for lack of experience. Not master the computer and internet and lack of experience of web page making:Because we did not have the course of how to use the computer and webpage making, when start, everyone has no confidence to it. And can not search the information by internet. Time is urgent:We practice once a week and lack of experience, and irrational plan. With the activity going, we feel the interview time is tight and affect the time learning.

5. Our Project Sound Bite

In this activity, we learned many things can not be available at the school. We are mature a lot and know more knowledge. Through study the wind energy, we know the current situation of many countries and the characters of wind energy and the treasure of power. At same time, we also know many new style energy, and have the basic knowledge of the wind energy distribution and treasure. Learning many social knowledge, we are willing to attend this activity next time. It makes big sense.

6. How did your activities and research for this CyberFair Project support standards, required coursework and curriculum standards?

Combining the energy and environment issue, we start to have the interview to let more people to know the wind energy basic knowledge, knowing the current situation and development and arising the sense to let more people treasure the power and environment.

according to the distribution of shangyi county resource, considering the geography, traffic, vegetable, projecting condtion, in the policy of avoiding the farmland, right now the county are planned to build 15 large scale wind energy station in total design 52.5 million kw. With the covering area are : manjing wind energy station in 40, nanshileng wind energy station in 25, qijiashan wind energy station in 35, shirenfeng wind energy station in 20, hanjiazhuang in 30, qilinshan wind energy station in 30, daqingshan wind energy station in 20, dongshanfeng wind energy station in 40, shijignfeng wind energy station in 30, daqingshan wind energy station in 20, dayingpan wind energy station in 100,bulongwan 50, wangyuandi wind energy station in 30, zhangzhuliang wind energy station in 30, yanjiawan wind energy station in 40 and dadongshan wind energy station in 5.

3) What has been the impact of your project on your community?

through our effort and publicizing, we let the around to know the energy problem and know the meaning of green energy. In our interview, people know the power treasure and current situation of world energy. One uncle even jokes with us: it seems that after years coal mine is on longer available. This again makes us aware that the research is valuable.

4) How did your project involve other members of your community as helpers and volunteers?

Here I would like to thank many people helps us for their support and help so that we can finish this research. We would like to thank all the leaders and staff who receive our interview in Guohua wind energy company for your treasure time and information and photo providing.

And we want say thanks to all the teachers, parents and mates in this activity. It is with their assistance in communication and direction in computer skill, we can finish this website works. at the same time, thanks to all the English teacher, school leaders and people from all walks.

5) Discoveries, Lessons and Surprises (Optional)

At its founding, we have no confidence to finish this item. Not only have no knowledge about the camera, but also never makes the webpage. With the activity going, we achieve a lot, under the direction of the teachers. We are more and more skillful in using the computer and internet. also we start to learn to make the webpage by our content. As we have no experience in interviewing, we are shy at the first time. But with the communication going, we get used of it. In this activity, we get the practice all around and learning the ability which can not be learned in the class. In the research, we learn the treasure of wind energy and its saving. At the same time, we know the importance of cohesiveness, cooperation and help. Though argue, we learn how to work and respect. We are happy to attend this match, it can not forget.
