Project Overview

1. Description of Our Community

Guide county located at the upper huanghe river, is in the eastern area of hainan zangzu autonomy, which is an important county of Qinghai province, the production basis of national commercial grain with the winter and spring wheat, qingke, bean, oil vegetable, fruit. It enjoys rich water and power resource and tour. Huanghe river is in 76.8 miles from west to east across the county. it is in good climate, named as saishangjiangnan. Hexi middle school is a normal middle school in guide county, located at the xiamajie village near the town government, the southern bank of huanghe river. National huangzhong county, guide county second highway, xining city—jiuzhi county highway forwarding the new county luohantang county highway to school, 3.5 miles away from county government. The school is in 16008 square meters, with the building 2236 square meters, labor basis 2276 square meters.

2. Summary of Our Project

The main theme is zhiyuan building of the research, telling the huanghe river treasure and stone enjoyment. Stone enjoyment and storement is astic finding combing the decent, culture and fashion. With the fast development of economy and fast enhancement of life level, people’s pursuit nature , harmony theory, stone finding, enjoying and treasure stone is more and more big. People get the enjoyment form the stone treasurement. So people are all longer to be the personnel of stone treasuring. The master of zhiyuan building, zhangbing, is one of them. In the process of making, we feel the cooperation and cohesivness. We can see all the careful attitude. We learn, communication, trust each other, though it is hard, we are all active. Finding many important advise and details, we can finish the work.

Our internet is ok, using ADSL to internet, with download 2MB. We can go to internet for 2 classroom with 53 computers in it.

4. Problems We Had To Overcome

This is the first time we attend the match, and to the first high rank international match with no experience. But we are working on it now. All the students from our group are grade 2 students, in order not to affect their study, we are finding, interviewing and making the webpage. We can only use the leisure time for finishing the tasks. Sometimes, the students are not interested. We feel them cannot go on. So we encourage them, in making the webpage. Same as the study, as long as we go on, we can overcome the difficulties. Thanks to the teachers guiding, our group finally overcomeit.

5. Our Project Sound Bite

In the process of making, we feel the cooperation and cohesivness. We can see all the careful attitude. We learn, communication, trust each other, though it is hard, we are all active. Finding many important advise and details, we can finish the work.

6. How did your activities and research for this CyberFair Project support standards, required coursework and curriculum standards?

We combine the characteristics and the resources of our school to help us to complete our project. We use a lot of knowledge from our curriculum ,such as chinese writing, looking for the information of our hometown and the history,the software to edit the webpage,using the information technology,photo editing, camera using, to complete our project.

We learn the capabilities of planing and lifelong learning. We learn how to respect,care and teamwork. We learn how to use the information technology. And nost importantly, we learn how to study on our own initiative. And we learn how to find out the question and to solve it.

1) What information tools & technologies did you used to complete your CyberFair project?

2) In what ways did you act as "ambassadors" and spokespersons for your CyberFair project both on-line and in person.

This time our theme is the master of zhiyuan building, make the digging stone enjoying the stones into standard and model. Guidexian huanghe precious stone institution was organized to strengthened to make the effort to the unity of the regulation. Before we know seldom about the huanghe river stone culture, only on the surface. After this activity, we truly go into it, with more talk with Mr. Zhang, we start to know his learning and all the effort about the researching the stone culture. In the school, it widely publicize our group. We truly want to show to the world through this webpage and widely publicize the our research, more students know the culture. And we also want to make some contribution to huanghe culture.

3) What has been the impact of your project on your community?

This time we mainly research to the zhiyuan building, through this research, our group knows the finding, enjoying, storing the stone, including the culture, art, history, learning, Mr. Zhang encourages the finding, tasting, enjoying, understanding, stone, he want to be the students and ask the friends. And then buy some books, and do the researching to enhance his own theory. This attitude of never too old to learn, needs us deeply thinking.

4) How did your project involve other members of your community as helpers and volunteers?

We improve our capability of the computer operation through participating the International Schools CyberFair project . Thank the School Leaders, teachers, Town and Talent company to give us the opporunity to participate the activity.We will work hard and become a useful person.
