1. Description of Our Community
Cangxi county is belong to guangyuan city in Sichuan province in China. Cangxi, located at the northern edge of Sichuan basin, southern of Daba mountain, ranging from 105°43'to 106°28'from east to west, 31°37'and 32°37'from north to south. It is in 2330.22 square meters, with five counties and one district; connecting nanjiang county and bazhou district to east, langzhong city connecting to south, jiange county to west, wangcang county, yuanba district to the north. In 2002 it had 770 thousand populations. There are more than 99% han in this area, also scattering zang, hui, korea, tujia, man, bai, yao, qiang, miao, mongu. Buyi, together 660 people. Cangxi, located at 300 miles, in clear water and beautiful mountain, is named as “chuanbei chunyi”, in the name of green pear homeland.
2. Summary of Our Project
Our themed research is the red army ferry site, mainly red army ferry history, site, environment, and development, protection, taking photo, interviewing, information collecting, organizing and research. During our work, we got great support from the department of uniform in cangxi county, the red army society and the veterans. So we got numerous materials. We try to express our thanks over the website for their creating a new homeland under the bloody war. At the same, the teachers and students cooperated in cohesiveness. We stick to the theme” exploring, feeling”. We hope to finally share the ferry history and beautiful nature and our success, lesson and happiness.

Our school and families use the ADSL internet, in which 8 members and 2 directors have internet. Because of the earthquake influence, there are 40 computer unstable in students’ computer classroom, only the teacher office internet has a connection. So most part was finished at the teachers’ office computer.
4. Problems We Had To Overcome
1.Due to the earthquake, the campus internet is abnormal, on and off. 2.Using Dreamweaver8 the webpage Flash button ,under the IE button default safety coming out the security, which will affect the trust visitors. 3.Lack of interview fee,Group time severely lack 4.The after-earthquake sometimes happens
5. Our Project Sound Bite
Through this research, the students know more about the story, and about treasuring the today’s life, which can train them loving peace and hard work and encouraging them love their homeland.
6. How did your activities and research for this CyberFair Project support standards, required coursework and curriculum standards?
The teaching and study is not only limited in 45 minutes to the knowledge in the books, but also how to learn in the life and environment, and how to practice what we learned in the school. That is most important. We should pay more attention on nurturing the students independence, on leading students to ask, researching, exploring and learning from the study, on activating the students learn voluntarily and personality under the guidance of the teachers, fully displaying the info tech advantages of the info tech to provide the colorful educational environment and study tool to the students learning and development. So this research brings the big chance for the practice and using knowledge. It can teach students more knowledge and experience and be the master of the study.
