Project Overview

1. Description of Our Community

Wuwie, renamed as liangzhou, enjoys the long time history, and brilliant culture. In 121BC, the commander in the Han Dynasty, huoqubing, went to hexi to defeat the xiongnu, carrying on the celebrity. Wuwei, once the city for the china and western area in silk road, historically as the people rich and silk many, leaving many ancient relic and culture artistic treasure. In 1986, wuwei(now liangzhou area) was listed as the cultural famous city, in the same year, it was listed as the outcoming city. Wuwei is an important basis for the commercial oil and grain, which is also the production basis of the province fruit and meat. Wuwei enjoys many relic and site. The famous cave is the taint mountain cave, the wen temple in the name of the top of youlong. The baita site witnessed the coming back to china, and the bronze horse in the leitai han tomb, listing as the mark of tour. Wuwei is the tour mark of the china tour.

2. Summary of Our Project

1 this activity, in addition to the plan the details, we mainly for the history, position and value. Also the point of this activity is at the location of running horse. Also there are still many points for it. The people with the experience and witness are all dead, with only two knows some about it. So it is another point. 2 this activity is divided into 3 stages. 1st stage: (9.10—9.13) decide the theme, framework and planning. 2nd 9-14—10.7 all the staff is working on finding the material. 3rd 10.8 –10.29 we cooperate and work together.

It is not that good ,there is only one classroom for computer and we are all village students, we can only use the noon time to work. so it is most hard for us.

4. Problems We Had To Overcome

1) through this activity, our staff level get a large enhancement. But more important is that they understand the value and sense. We all start to know it. 2) In the activity, our staff cooperate and learn from each other. Our students overcome the weakness , which is the biggest gain of this activity. 3) In this activity, our staff not only feel the charm of the horse, but also the proud to the people.

5. Our Project Sound Bite

The horse is the symbol of the ancient Chinese labor. Over 2000 years cannot cover his shining. It also enjoys the long time history, we are all proud of it. It belongs to china and world. No other things can make it as the tour mark.

6. How did your activities and research for this CyberFair Project support standards, required coursework and curriculum standards?

In the process, we combine the class and content to fully use the knowledge. The text we used is for the content, though general, we need to perfect it. We explore the text and technicians, meanwhile for the on time finishing the task. the teacher let us typewrite. And then we aks the Chinese teacher for the more interests.

2) In what ways did you act as "ambassadors" and spokespersons for your CyberFair project both on-line and in person.

After deciding our theme, all the members thought that, as the symbol of the wuwei city, we can see it everyday, with much material. When we really carry on the activity, we felt that the knowing horse is just the surface and shallow. The material is not that plenty as our imagine. So we fully discuss to decide the time to interview the specialist and horse. How to collect. Relatively, it is hard to interview, all the members use all kinds relations to find the specialist and witness. Mr. Qi edit wuwei dictionary, knowing the luowen qing in the local office, introducing zhoujianhua, the specialist of the tongbenma research specialist. When we first interview, he said that as a county school, it makes big sense of having this activity, it can not only enlarge the students sense but also to publicize the national treasure value. We fully support your activity, today I will try my best to answer your questions. In this activity, if any help we will try our best. Suanyanwen find the friend through the help of the mother and then we find the witness—Mr. Shi. The story is not that smooth, when we first time went to him, he hestitate, and his wife neglect us, when we go to the point, his wife divert us. It seems no fruit. We ask them why they don’t want to receive our intereview. We have to take some gifts and then they will agree. As the only one witness, there should be the rules for the interview. Only the one taking the gift coming, they can accept. We are blamed for not knowing the custom. So our second trip, Mr. Pei takes some gift to see him. This time we get two different attitude. We gain a lot as people don’t really know the outcoming. We thanks this activity from the bottom of heart, and the teachers.

3) What has been the impact of your project on your community?

Owing to the fully publicizing, the students are drawn at the beginning. They hope they can know it more through the activity. Though not fulfilled, they show their high enthusiasm, the partial material is from the students. In addition, when we collect the details, we get the attention and support, and help from related staff. The officer zhou marked on our publicizing of wuwei. She answer our questions and coordinate the ticket price.

4) How did your project involve other members of your community as helpers and volunteers?

After the activity, the leader in the school asking the activity process and the great support on money. Leitai han tomb Mr. Zhang, though not knowing, they support us actively, we also invite the Mr. Zhou, the specialist on the bronze running horse. He also cancel the ticket for the visit. When he knows we have some questions, he discard the things, coming to the park, providing the first hand material.

5) Discoveries, Lessons and Surprises (Optional)

We live at the homeland, but seldom know the knowledge. It is named as the world treasure, mainly because of bold imagination, in which the whole weight is on the rear right, and other three feet is in the air, showing the flying over bird and use the body to enlarge the square, ensuring the stable of the horse, giving the work deep sense and fully romantism. Unknown artists not only in vivid gesture, complicated making and rich imagination, also come to balance. It is thought deciding the shape, we felt it is alive, and flying, in the jump. In the activity, we are surprising to find that there are still unknown puzzle, such as the questions about pursuiting and storing the horse, about the discussion of horse and bird, and blood, leitai. We need to explore the answer.
