Project Overview

1. Description of Our Community

Laolongtan is the representative of the liupan mountain site, which is just 20 miles away from the mountain, named as jinghenao, which is the origin of jinghe river. Laolongtan is the legend and natural site, one of the earliest development of liupan mountain site. Laolongtan located at the center of liupan mountain site, in green beautiful site and unique weather. It enjoys the natural site and rich tour source. One knows well about the china ancient culture knows two famous story: one is 'liuyi story' in tang and song dynasty about the dragon daughter send the letter to father through liuyi at the river bank, second is the ancient famous book 'xiyouji' tang primier weizhang kill the dragon in the dream. Those are all related with the laolongtan and jinghe.

2. Summary of Our Project

Jingyuan county located at the ningxia huizu autonomy far south part, named from the origin of jingyuan river. Our theme is laolongtan, mainly for the laolong tan site and related story, we hope all the people loving the world can know more about it through our webpage.

4. Problems We Had To Overcome

This is our first time to attend this match, with the experience relatively small. All the theme research should start from the zero. Many materials get from the director at the weekend to search the details, photo taking and interviewing. The main problems is time. in the ninth grade we are all in the big burden of the study. And next year we are facing the test in the next year. We have not enough time to make the webpage. Because we can only take the leisure time to work in the computer classroom in the lunch break.

5. Our Project Sound Bite

It is my first time to attend the webpage match, we know more about ourselves, finding many weakness, we cultivate our independent thinking and solving ability. We gain a lot that we know more laolongtan and other related story, we are all in cohesiveness for the careful attitude. This themed research teach us the communication and trust, and kind, expensing and thanks. Though hard, there is no pain with gain. As long as you can give out, we can gain the sweat fruit. We hope we can share the webpage with others.

6. How did your activities and research for this CyberFair Project support standards, required coursework and curriculum standards?

We take the laolongtan near the town as the themed plan, combining the literature, history, geography, computer, art and culture, for example, in the talking with the villagers around, we learn many things we can not learn in the school. there is a big difference from the classroom, we learn the way to search the details, asking others, and organizing the details. All the ability should be with us and we benefit whole life.

Hardware: computer, camera, scanner, Udisk, notebook Software: Dreamweaver, Photoshop, Microsoft Word, Internet Explorer, ACDSee, CuteFtp.

2) In what ways did you act as "ambassadors" and spokespersons for your CyberFair project both on-line and in person.

We take the knowing hengyuan tour as our task. we should work as the embassy in communication to let more people know about the advantages. We change the fruit of research into the webpage, uploading to the website. We let more people to know the resource through the internet.

3) What has been the impact of your project on your community?

Through the themed plan, we know more about the laolongtan and jingyuan: through this themed research. We know more about the tour resource, and attention of jingyuan tour resource to attract the jingyuan and laolongtan tour. We have the enthusiasm different from others. Through this research, we have good relations with the tour resource. Our action is full of enthusiasm and confidence.

4) How did your project involve other members of your community as helpers and volunteers?

The whole webpage content are all selected from the related book, webpage or reorganizing the historic details. We respect the intellectual property from the memo. Except several photos from the internet( marked website and address), the rest photo are all from the our camera.

5) Discoveries, Lessons and Surprises (Optional)

With the research development, we know more about the jingyuan tour resource. In the process, we meet the difficulties cooperation, we know how to understand and encourage. We can only finish the research theme so that we can communication.
