1. Description of Our Community
Wu Wei has many places of history interests and heritage landscape. The famous places such as the ladder grottoes known as ancestor of caves; the so-called “Longyou’s best”—Wu Wei Confucian Temple; The one hundred pagoda temple ruins which seen Tibet came back to motherland; the famous place of Tibetan Buddhist Culture—Hai Fat Jong Temple. Moreover, there has the famous unearthed “copper running horse” in Leitai tomb of Han Dynasty, which is regarded as the symbol of China tourism. Therefore, Wu Wei also becomes the symbol city of China tourism.
2. Summary of Our Project
Wu Wei, in the long river of history used to be an important fort land. It has a glorious and tragic history. After experiencing the vicissitude of weapons, arms and cries of people, it saved many old buildings and “Hai Fat Jong Temple” is one of them. There is one of the birthplaces of the Tibetan Buddhist culture. When mentioned about ‘temple’, people will always think of words such as “temple fair”, “joss sticks”, “Buddhist monk”. However, they do not know that there also contain profound Buddhist culture and nourish sons and daughters in Wu Wei generation after generation. It leads them incline to upside and goodness and impacts regional culture, which is attracting more and more people outsiders’ attention.

School computers’ wire speed is slow with a small number of computers, low configuration, and limited online time. Many collected data and pictures cannot be processed in time. Many times several of us sat in front of a computer, but it just like against us in purpose. Not only slow but also always system halted. We can only sat in front of the computer anxiously but unable to do nothing.
4. Problems We Had To Overcome
Because it was the first time of us to participate in webpage production competition, everything is hard in the beginning. We had little experience, thanks to the enthusiastic help of Qianxiangwancai technology Co, Ltd’s staffs and the support of leading teachers, the activity can develop smoothly. However, the following works met troubles again. Because the school is far away from city subdivision with no convenient transport, if we ride on bicycle, there are great potential safety hazards. So at last, we decided to go out by bus.
5. Our Project Sound Bite
This special research activity began with Tibet Temple culture and had detailed explanations about its architectural style features, statuary arts, superstition discover and so on. We also conducted in-depth study in order to let the outsiders more comprehensively and detailed understand temple culture, understand Wu Wei and stimulated students’ love and build hometown’s feelings.
6. How did your activities and research for this CyberFair Project support standards, required coursework and curriculum standards?
Our teachers and students all spare no effort in the whole activity. Of course, we did not just mechanically interviewing, collecting and producing for finishing the activity task. The subjects in school such as geography, history, computer, and textbook courses organically combined with this activity, course and activity both complement and blend with each other. It improved our computer operational level and on line searching ability. At the same time, the organic integration of theory and practice also gave us unprecedented happiness we have ever experienced.
