2. Summary of Our Project
Laoye Mountain has attracted many tourists with its precipitous mountain scenery and extreme lively folk cultural activities in the last 70s and 80s . However , it lost its original charm gradually as it could not keep up with the policy of national tourist brand strategy . Therefore , with the inspiration of our group teacher , we decided to adopt the topic Laoye Mountain to improve our ability and promote our place of interest in our hometown to the outside world thus reviving Laoye Mountain .

E. Additional comments concerning your computer and/or Internet access (Optional):
Our school computers were connected with internet with optical fiber . Our two guiding teachers had computers which were connected with internet at home , and one of them would use computer at school when accomadating in school . As the consequence of computer room expansion , 42 computers in the computer room had a poor performance of network connection . To optimize our environment , school mobilized two official computers for our design work . Therefore ,we had most of our work finished on these two computers .
4. Problems We Had To Overcome
Firstly , lack of technological knowledge . We had no sense of webpage design as teachers taught us mainly Mocrosoft Word and information search , never covering webpage design knowledge. Secondly , unstable network . Because of the unstable network of the school network , we had to use computers of our teacher to upload at a concentrated time if we had failed to upload western stories when we participated into this project before . What was worse this time, we had a poorer network after expansion of our computer room , we had to find some time to be familiar with the modles and upload information with our teachers' computers again and again . Thirdly , limited time . We had heavy pressures as deadline was approaching and we had to finish it without influencing our study . Teacher also felt anxious about it .
5. Our Project Sound Bite
This is our firat time to attend Internation Cyber Fair without any experience before . We had some worries bafore our formal participation as we did not know where to start . Thanks to the suppot from our teachters and our own efforts , we finished the visit to Laoye Mountain and the whole information classification and webpage design . We deeply believed that there is a will ,there is a way .
6. How did your activities and research for this CyberFair Project support standards, required coursework and curriculum standards?
The new teaching outline paid more attention to the practice ability of students , required social practices developping according different local conditions . All in all ,we greatly broadened our vision , exercised our practicing ability , knew more about Laoye Mountain and greatly improved our computer operating ability .
