1. Description of Our Community
The school community is affiliated with the local parish of St. Isidore. The school is located in the town of Riverhead which is is a rural community located on the East End of Long Island about 70 miles from New York City. The community is surrounded by Long Island Sound and the Atlantic Ocean. The school and its surrounding community are very aware of the environment because of a reliance of conservation in order to protect the water aquifer.
Our students and their families recylce at home and work to conserve energy resources.
2. Summary of Our Project
Our project is to display the work we are doing in our school and the educational projects we have created for students awareness. It is our belief that young people can lead the way in creating a cleaner environment. Our website demonstrates the ways this can be done.

Our school has recentl installed wirelss access for all computers in the building.
4. Problems We Had To Overcome
Some of the barriers we had to overcome were the personality conflicts that occured. the team really had to work together to overcome personality conflicts.
5. Our Project Sound Bite
The International Cyber Fair participation has raised standard for our school. Our students know that being asked to participate raises the academic standard.
6. How did your activities and research for this CyberFair Project support standards, required coursework and curriculum standards?
Our Cyberfair project addressed STEM education standards. Our students were able to create and educate others in the process of sustainability and living an eco friendly life. They created awareness in their school community and gave alternatives to abusing the resources that exist in nature. This fit into the curriculum by incorporating technology into research, creation and implementation Team building, cooperation and dedication were practiced. Specific ideas are better understood through communication and cooperation. This project is considered a skill building project for advanced and exceptiional students. This project made the studetns feel that they could participate in creating change within the school community in creating a 'greener' outlook in the school.
