What is the impact we faced during making this project?
On the Christmas Eve, we paid the villages a visit. Finally, we found the most worth Christmas gifts there. Though we see the fact they will face, and we were sad about it, we still heard some toughing stories. After tripping, we realized that the words we saw were not only in the book, but also alive in the village. However, we also found out those stories can only be the past, it could not see in the future anymore.
After we finished the project, our the motivation is not only for the contest, but for sharing the forgotten history and the beautiful culture to everyone.
Now, we got lost in these magic villages. Next year, the village may not stand in there anymore.
We wish the we would get lost in the village forever. To remember the past, the treasures belong to us.
3) What has been the impact of your project on your community?
In our process of interview, we heard the voices from settlers and volunteers; they wanted to tell stories in military dependents’ village to any other city. We made raft of interview in our report, in addition to landscape-description, the more were about settlers and our touching feeling. We believe we can let everyone see the honor of our homeland!
4) How did your project involve other members of your community as helpers and volunteers?
Thanks to out seniors helping, we can soon knew how the do the project.
We are so glad that we were so lucky to meet these villagers. Thank them were willing to told us their past, the sad story. And let us knew a lot of things which were already forgotten, they told us a lot of history they faced. Also, they made us know what difficulty both them and us may face in the future. Plus, they show us the things could only seen in the military housing. Thank them very much, to let us know many things that we did not have chance to see in the past. Therefore, we strongly know we need to share these things with everybody.
Another people we need to thank to is the volunteers who works in the museum to told us more things about this village from their eye.
The last thing I need to thank is our team, thanks them working hard since the beginning till the end.
5) Discoveries, Lessons and Surprises (Optional)
Our founds, realization, and surprises. We were just the novices when we began to do this contest; however, through this special experience, we have learned lots of things and spread our view.
Since the start of ignorance, we have done many meaningful things instead, collecting information, interview, writing articles, setting up websites, making flash…… In the process, we were not very peaceful; the more was the lack of times; we just like the small boat, suffering the horrible storm, it was really nervous! But under the storm, we found the enthusiasm to the culture of the military dependent village. Websites were set up by our hard efforts, we just wanted to let the beauty reappear, and we use sweat and laughing, want to show the magic of the military dependent village.
