4. Problems We Had To Overcome
Last year, a team of our school awarded the national bronze prize, so we consult the same teachers to direct us. Fortunately, the teachers were also very pleased and willing to help, which let us full of confidence. Therefore, we began looking forward to the CyberFair 2013. However, when we started the project, what bothered us very much is it difficult to search materials related to our theme. But, after constantly searching, brainstorming, and discussing, we overcome many problems gradually. For we all wanted to do something good to this piece of land, we chose “Taiwan’s Rice Heaven, Tianjhong 520 Harvest and Praying Carnival” as the theme of our project.
5. Our Project Sound Bite
Just do it, and you will make it! Although it took us so much time to finish the project, the experiences were very precious.
6. How did your activities and research for this CyberFair Project support standards, required coursework and curriculum standards?
The main target of creating the website about this activity is to make others (non-natives, especially foreigners) learn more about Tianjhong by web surfing. Through creating the website, we practiced the skills we learned in computer class, such as skills to deal and fix photos, collect materials, arrange web pages and paragraphs, and skill to communicate with residents. In addition, we found that it is more effective to use computer technology to process our project, and our teachers also used computers to assist their teaching in class. Our website may be not good enough, but it can be a basic introduction or a tour guide to Tianjhong for non-natives.
