2. Summary of Our Project
The one we’re introducing today has a close relationship to the poems from Tang Dynasty. He’s a poet who has written some Tang poems. To us, most people write modern poems nowadays. Not knowing much about the Tang poetry, it has occurred to me that why it’s so difficult to write the Tang poems. It is difficult enough to choose the proper words and match the tones throughout the whole poem, can’t even think of becoming a poet.

4. Problems We Had To Overcome
1. We went to visit some teachers who teach related subjects, such as Chinese and history, if we encountered any problem about the structures of Tang poems and Chinese history.
2. We couldn’t get our visiting time coordinated, so we decided to work in parts. For example, if some members of the team went out to interview, others would stay behind and prepare and organise the questions and results.
3. While composing the poems, we couldn’t break through our own limits, nor the problem of being too vernacular. However, Mr. Yao suggested that we could read more Tang poetry, memorize them, and try to understand the prospects. This problem was solved a little after that.
4. During the interview, very often we couldn’t continue the conversation and needed our teachers to do it for us. After doing more interviews, the situation was improved.
5. We didn’t know how to use the SLR cameras at the beginning so we were quite frustrated. Then Teacher Zhang Yao taught us how to use them so we could finally use them properly. And we also learned to adjust the aperture, know how to position the camera, and the lighting. We did have learned a lot. 6. Mr. Yao came from Hubei in China so he has a very strong accent. We did have some problem to understand his speaking. We sometimes had to use our body language to communicate but also brought us a great joy.
5. Our Project Sound Bite
In this time, we interviewed Mr. Yao in order to know more about him. During the interviews, we learned that Mr. Yao is a man with humor and knowledge of literature, also many of his small stories. We listens to each story carefully and try to understand them.
When someone is very enthusiastic in something, his enthusiasm sometimes shocks others. This is the power that brought out Mr. Yao’s talents. Beacuse of this power and the full will of not-giving-up, Mr. Yao persisted in completing the great dream of 10 thousands poems. However, on the way to his success, the road was straight and bright because of his unique talents and the will of not-giving-up. This is more than enough to make one’s dreams come true.
In fact, everyone can be a hero. When one is working for his/her own dreams, he/her is a hero, a hero who can make himself/herself a hero.
6. How did your activities and research for this CyberFair Project support standards, required coursework and curriculum standards?
It is said that a wise head makes a close mouth. Heroes are not necessarily to be seen, many are kept anonymous and not known to others. There are many anonymous heroes all over Taiwan using their hands to create the art of life. Therefore, our team has chosen one to introduce to you.
“The silver candle lightened in Autumn chilled the screen. She pats the fireflies with a thin-material fan and looks up at the cowherd and the weaver girl...” Wow! Isn’t this poem beautiful? This poem “Qixi” by Mu Du describes the pale beauty of the autumn evening vividly in few words. The poems from Tang Dynasty are well-known in the world, some are more known by their beautiful words. Just imagining the elegant pictures can make one touch the beautiful scenes.

Therefore, the one we chose is a poet and hopefully we will learn something about the Tang poetry from him. Let’s look at the poet we interview, Teacher Zhi Yao.
