2. Summary of Our Project
In North Qinling and South plateau of Weinan, the field of wheat is undulating in the breeze, wheat-straw stretches as far as the eye could see, it is really a little 'inexhaustible' every summer. All the people in Weinan know that there are three treasures in Weinan plateau ——persimmon, walnut, straw hat. The main purpose of straw is to pinch braids in rural of Weinan. Pinch braids not only invigorate the economy but also become local customs and splendid culture. More than eighty percent of braids in Weinan are made of straw hats. There are more than a dozen of factories to make straw hats in Yang Guo Town, straw hat has become one of the pillar industries for local farmers. Straw hat is used to protect the people from the sunshine and rain in local. Sometimes, it is also used as a gift to foreign friends. It is said that straw of Yang Guo Town is also in the second batch of intangible cultural heritage protection list in Weinan city.

Problems We Had To Overcome It is the first time for us to access the webpage making, we don’t know how to find information, make a picture, not mention to make a website, and with the help of teacher, we have a lot of computer knowledge and network manufacturing knowledge. Our Project Sound Bite
Wang Zhuo: As a rural girl, my active place is a circle with 5 kilometers radius which is a village as the center. The teacher gave me a chance, let me know the outside world, and I have learned a lot of knowledge about the network and webpage. I thanked him, and I will seize every chance that life offers. Our biggest problem is that the teacher can’t operate sometimes! But teacher Shi always solved the problem by consulting some teachers and professionals or exploring. 6. How did your activities and research for this CyberFair Project support standards, required coursework and curriculum standards?
Straw, straw braid and straw hat are everywhere which are the local agricultural products, it is easy to shoot and collect pictures. We can complete it in spare time, especially on Sunday. To search information online, we are also in the spare time to complete. Our school doesn't have a computer program, the computer application knowledge is taught by teacher Shi in spare time, and we entered the world of making webpage after finishing all the classes. In the process of making webpage, to adjust the picture size, upload pictures, change the page, make website and so on, every step is new knowledge for us. We are in front of the other students in the computer application and webpage making.
