5. Our Project Sound Bite

We've introduced traditional art as well as modern art into our school, and we hope through this project the whole world can see the colors of Taiwan.

6. How did your activities and research for this CyberFair Project support standards, required coursework and curriculum standards?

Through this project, we learned how to come up with a topic and how to execute it. Our skills of communication were honed. Our ability to organize improved signifcantly.

Project Elements

1) What information tools & technologies did you used to complete your CyberFair project?

We built a blog to keep our records and to share information. The software we used includes: Windows 7 for operating system, Microsoft Word 2010 for transcript of case studies, experiences and reflections, etc..

2) In what ways did you act as "ambassadors" and spokespersons for your CyberFair project both on-line and in person.

We held exhibitions in our school and served as art docents in our community. We had 12 interviews and both public and private sectors were included. We hope that through it all, we successfully played the role of ambassadors.

3) What has been the impact of your project on your community?

Through this project, we’d captured the attention of our peers and teachers. Now everyone had a good picture of local art and knew of Mr. Tseng. Our propaganda and interviews also got local organizations to appreciate local art.

4) How did your project involve other members of your community as helpers and volunteers?

CEO of Shin-Yeh Dining Enterprises Ms. Lee collects Mr. Tseng’s art and hangs her favorite one in Taipei’s icon building--Taipei 101. She says that Mr. Tseng’s artwork feels just like home, and conveys the message that she hopes Shin-Yeh does.

5) Discoveries, Lessons and Surprises (Optional)

Our research gave us opportunities to access different kinds of art. We hope to awaken people’s passion towards art and to help local artists shine globally. We also hope the maintenance of public art can be improved.
