1. Description of Our Community
Shangyi County, at the northwestern of Hebei Province, the southern of the Inner Mongolian Plateau, is located in the junctions of Shanxi, Hebei and Inner Mongolian provinces. Shangyi County covers a total area of 2632.47 square kilometers, about 280 km from Beijing. The total population is 20 million. Land resources are rich, and the climate is unique, so it is suitable for planting high-quality vegetable and accumulating crop nutrient. The mineral resources are rich with huge potential. And there are 10 categories and over 40 minerals has been founded, metallic minerals are including gold, silver, copper, iron, non-metallic minerals are including coal, graphite, diatomaceous earth, purple shale. The wind resources are steady and rich, which is one of the best wind resources in North China region.
2. Summary of Our Project
The International Children's Day belongs to every child in the world. On this day, we enjoy singing and dancing happily. We want to study this topic so that more children can share our happiness. Meanwhile, we hope that more people understand and concern the ' International Children's Day'. Especially the children in the war and poverty, hoping they will feel the '6.1' joy and happiness, to experience success and confidence which was brought by The International Children's Day.

Our school has a computer room, one server (Windows2003 system), 30 clients (windows XP), but there are only ten computer can access to the Internet. ADSL broadband is accessed, network speed is 10M.
4. Problems We Had To Overcome
1, computers, networks, web production problems: teacher Liu and Gao patiently taught us, we were learning while making. School computer configuration was a bit low, and few computers can access Internet, so we have to edit and make in electronic preparation room of teachers. 2, information collection problem: As we need a lot of information, so we have to find information in school audiovisual reference room and mobilize teachers and students to collect. Workload is considerable. 3, Time constraints: all of us are in sixth grade now, under the pressure of study, a lot of homework need to be done, so we have to take advantage of weekend time for interviews to create web pages. 4, Translation problem: Our English level is not high, because the organizing committee entry provides that our works must be translated in English, so we have to ask help for the teacher from town and Talents Company limited.
5. Our Project Sound Bite
After nearly two months, we felt very happy when we finished it from the beginning to the end. In this process, we felt the joy and happiness of Children's Day again. In the activities, we not only learned photography, photo processing technology, but also learned a lot of computer knowledge, web design and production techniques, interviewing skills, and let us learn to be strong and courageous, and enhance the ability of our social practice collaboration and solidarity, also enrich our extracurricular lives.
6. How did your activities and research for this CyberFair Project support standards, required coursework and curriculum standards?
Children's Day belongs to the children, at this stage, children can show their talents in music, sports, art and other performances. At the same time, it also shows quality education outcomes of our school.

2) In what ways did you act as "ambassadors" and spokespersons for your CyberFair project both on-line and in person.
In the activities of Children's Day, some of us are trumpeters, some are small actors, some are presenters, all of them are versatile. In this event, we are both advocates and participants. Here, we call on the whole society to care for children, because children are the future of the country, the nation's hope, to create a good family, social and learning environment, let them grow up healthily and happily.
3) What has been the impact of your project on your community?
Even though the teaching work is important for the school, it is necessary to do some art and gym works. Through activities, the County Board of Education and school leaders have a new impression for art and gym works, the bad phenomenons have been changed. At the same time, the old conceptions that the parents pay attention to the results and ignore comprehensive development are also changed, the study is as important as music, sports, art, calligraphy and other courses. Especially in our school, a number of activities have been held recently, such as: children singing and dancing competitions, pupils with special talent competitions, tug of war games, calligraphy competitions, Chinese characters match, the ancient chant poetry competitions and so on, we also actively participate in the city's 'mental shock 'and other games. These activities not only enrich the lives of our extracurricular but also enhance physique. Recently, our school held a special performance in 'eco SHANGYI --2014 Culture and Art Festival' series of activities recently, presented a wonderful evening feast for the county folks, and it was well received by the community.
4) How did your project involve other members of your community as helpers and volunteers?
This study has been supported by school arts group teacher Department. Especially audio-visual teachers, parents,students and related people, they take the initiative to accept the interview, help us collecting and providing pictures and other information.
5) Discoveries, Lessons and Surprises (Optional)
More complex web production is a little difficult for pupils. Fortunately, however, with the help of the two teachers, we begin to create with interest.'Hard work pays off,' we finally completed the task nearly two months. Although the website has not done well, through participating in this event, we have been exercised in terms of interpersonal and learned a lot of knowledge that never learned in the classroom. In the process of interviewing, finding information, making web page, we also felt the importance of teamwork. This is a rare opportunity, and we all cherish.
