Project Overview

1. Description of Our Community

Taipei Rabbit Society Association located in Neihu, Taipei, is our good neighbor. They need our support to take care of stray rabbits. It took us a long time to come up with our team name, “Rabbit Planet”. It is about humans trying to learn about another species on another planet.

2. Summary of Our Project

We tend to think about ourselves as human beings. We also think about cats or dogs because we have a stronger and better stereotype image about them. We don’t think about rabbits as much. That is for sure. There are Garden Homeless Animal Association and Taiwan Dog Saving Association for dogs. There are Garden Homeless Animal Association and Cat Lovers’ Association for cats. We also have organizations such as Chinese Christian Relief Association and Hebron Marginal Groups’ Home to help people. For rabbits, Taipei Rabbit Society Association is all they have. This is why we decided to write this report, in order to give them a hand. We started by attending their workshops for a year, although we were not sure whether we were able to fully understand the contents. Our interest in Taipei Rabbit Society Association remains strong so our teachers got us to work as volunteer workers there. Our experience told us that they were lacking in resources. We therefore decided to help those nice people. This is how this report and questionnaire came about. Our survey indicates that most people have no idea what rabbits need and how they behave. Our project aims to bring the knowledge to the public.

4. Problems We Had To Overcome

Our computers crashed all the time. Sometimes our files went missing. I wonder whether they were deleted by other classes or we were simply too disorganized in file naming. Sometimes we got busy with other school activities and couldn’t work on the web pages. It is like the same thing all over again in the dodge ball competition. You end up being the only one fighting for it. However, we are still a strong team. Cheng Lai is very good at data collection and translation. Li-you Chang is a good writer. Hsi-chieh and Shu-yun Hou are masters in painting. Team work creates achievements.

6. How did your activities and research for this CyberFair Project support standards, required coursework and curriculum standards?

Project Elements

1) What information tools & technologies did you used to complete your CyberFair project?

3) What has been the impact of your project on your community?

Taiwan's wildlife conservation concept remains in dogs and cats, rabbits faithful for something for their baby rabbit , the rabbit was asked for equality ligation subsidy and leisure space, but also hope that people can adopt instead of buying , solve the problem of abandoned rabbits mountain

4) How did your project involve other members of your community as helpers and volunteers?

Participation in meetings , we see how the public interest groups to negotiate with the government , we feel every NPO, NGO ( non-profit institutions ) how the organization gradually establish a social consensus then the repair process and the implementation of law , not just gather round in love or personal minority groups keep each other warm , read other people's achievements and development process , we have to ponder straight .

Changing social phenomena and achieve the desired objectives, the current environment and the people, in fact, there is still a way to go is not a small , but this is our responsibility.

5) Discoveries, Lessons and Surprises (Optional)

Stray animal problem getting attention, even rabbits have shelters, the Taipei Association for abandoned rabbits love raising rabbits resettlement, not only to take them to see a doctor, but also for the love they shoot desk calendar, now each rabbit jump to wait caring people to adopt.
