Taipei City is one of the major cities in Taiwan that have developed heavily. In addition, the well-known Taipei City has high political and economic development, and the cultural development is something that could not be ignored. National Palace Museum is of the places that have reserved the culture of Taipei City. As one of the Taiwanese citizens, we deeply appreciate the importance of cultural reservation, so we decided to visit “Hall of Long” in Taipei City, Zhongshan District.“Hall of Long” is established by Mao-Long Li, who is an expert in deterioration of Classical Chinese Scroll Paintings. This personal workshop is located in Taipei, Taiwan. Due to the moisture in Taiwan, many artworks are defective. Therefore,“Hall of Long” stands as an important platform on repairing the scroll paintings.

He had worked for the mounting department of National Palace Museum (NPM) for several years. Now, he holds his personal studio for restoring scroll paintings. 4. Problems We Had To Overcome
1. Gathering information: Since restoration of classical chinese scroll paintings isn’t a well-known skill and knowledge in current society, we couldn’t directly access to the information we need. In order to gather information we needed, we spent more time reading reports and academic research related to our topic. 2. Interview: Mr. Lin got into a car accident before our interview therefore we couldn’t had a direct interview with Mr. Lin. At the end, we finished our interview through phone call. Because we didn’t had the direct interview, we don’t have enough pictures or images to use. Direct resource was limited. Fortunately, Mr. Lin provided us some picture from his past and also gave us the right to use photos on his blog. 3. Time management: During the researching progress, we have little time to spend together due to school work and personal things to do. Although we have scheduled club time to discuss, but the time isn’t enough for us to finish all the work. At last, we used several days in our winter break to finish up the work and we realize how important it is to keep everything on schedule. 4. Integrating information: We used a lot of time to gather and search for information, but didn’t know how to put all of the information into categories. After discussion, we decided to put information into different big categories and then split them into detailed, small categories. This skill help us on researching and we will definitely use it in our future. 5. Teamwork: We had several arguments while searching and analysing. However, we always discuss and talk it out. We learned how important teamwork is, not only saving time but also making improvements.
