1. Description of Our Community
The Haishiwan Town of Honggu District is located at western remote suburb in Lanzhou City of Gansu Province. The place is named for Honggu River in eastern Xiangtang gorge. Established in 1960, district covers 567.66 Kilometers; the population of 14.3 million, of which 9.5 million urban population, 4.8 agriculture million population; there has 18 ethnic minorities like Hui, Manchurian, Mongolian and Tibetan; jurisdiction over 1 township, 3 towns, 3 streets, 38 administrative villages and 18 community. 2. Summary of Our Project
Kushui Township in Yongdeng County, Lanzhou City is Rose Country,, well-known throughout the country. Kushui Rose is world-famous for its charming fragrance. After over 200 years cultivation,Rose in Kushui Town gradually become to be a famous “Kushui Rose” brand, that features flowery, juicy and pure flavor, fragrance. So Kushui Town gets a lot of props for its a reputation as “Rose Country in China”. By publicizing and introducing Kushui Rose, we want more people to achieve a comprehensive understanding and knowledge on the Kushui Rose, so that assist local rose to go through the historic predicament, move toward the nation and the world. By our actions and appropriate recommendations, all Kushui Rose industry will gain the extensive and long-term development, so that it has greatly promoted the improvement of local economy. On one hand, organizing students conducted a study on line, we made web site with school school's network platform; on the other hand, we stepped out of campus for enriching student’s cultural life.

There is a classroom with 10m Optical fiber access. Every teacher office and lesson-preparing office have connected internet. But we usually can’t get in to internet because of the low-configuration of the computer and a slow network. So we had to go to school and get on line at weekend, and made web page at the IT course under the guidance of teacher.
4. Problems We Had To Overcome
Network game has a huge demand for writing, but the mid-term exam is coming, the learning task is very nervous, it is usually difficult to squeeze time to write, so we have to write in the weekend time, sometimes carry out activities in the class time. The time is short, task is heavy. When we learned that we can participate in this competition, it has arrived at the end of October, and then we began to form a team, analysis local characteristics, resources, finally, after discussion and analysis, we determine the research topic -- 'Kushui Rose '
5. Our Project Sound Bite
Through participating in Webpage competition, we experienced a lot of things. The teacher organized our competition, we were at a loss; registering on the Internet, we were excited; the first time to use a digital camera, we were careful; the first time to communicate with the teachers in the town and talent, we felt very fresh; the first time to create a website, making Webpage, I have some actions with confusion; the first time to step into the society, we feel uncomfortable, but we really experience happiness to participate in Webpage contest of town and talent, know local situation of air freshener. In the process of the network competition, we learned and grew a lot. Although we also participated in a similar game before, but this time the game left a deep impact for me. Although there are a lot of difficulties to make Webpage, we will work hard to overcome, dedicated the best work to everyone.
6. How did your activities and research for this CyberFair Project support standards, required coursework and curriculum standards?
1,At the information technology lesson, we make full use of the knowledge, to make Webpage on the computer, we have been consolidated and development. 2,On second class, we learned some basic knowledge of Webpage production technology, Institute of image processing. Furthermore, deepen our understanding of the computer and network, exercise our ability. 3,Make our network research activities into the campus, let our Webpage works 'Kushui Rose' into the school-based teaching materials, the second class of students. To make our Webpage work becomes the network position which can lead education, school, community to protect environment. 4,Through school network platform, let our Webpage works 'Kushui Rose' come into the hearts of the students, to stimulate students’ interest in learning, develop students' biology knowledge, which an important way for students to associate the theory with practice.
