1. Description of Our Community
In Gansu, the main stream of the Yellow River,the Mqu part of Yellow River enters from Jigzhi County Qinghai province, enter to the north after flowing to Wenbaotan from west to east, due to blocking of Xiqingmountain, it flows to the west, turn 180 degree in the territory of Maqu, and then back to Qinghai Province again, form a 'U' shape turn, becoming the first turn of eighteen turns ofYellow River in Jiuqu. The part of Jishiguan to Heishanxia refers to Lanzhou part of the Yellow River, the branches enters from Xunhua county Qinghai province to Jishi mountain,through Linxia, Yongjing, Lanzhou, Baiyin, depart from Heishanxia Jingyuan county. Thebranches of Yellow River in our province is 913 km long, upper segment is 433 km, the last part is 480 kilometers, drainage area is 56695 square kilometers, the average annual runoffof Lanzhou section of the Yellow River is 31 billion 260 million cubic meters (Lanzhou hydrological station). It produces a total 4 billion 490 million cubic meters of water.Especially in places like Gansu where is lack of water, the Yellow River brings us hope and future. Every year, Lanzhou will hold marathon race in the bank of Yellow River, its civilization spreads to the world, our Lanzhou is a good, where is a promising city. We love Lanzhou and the Yellow River.
2. Summary of Our Project
Through the research the situation of Yellow River in Lanzhou section, we can have a profound understanding our great mother river. Through this topic research, let us feel the grand Yellow River and the important and the urgency of protecting Yellow River. Let us act to mobilize the government to plan and contribute Yellow River more beautiful. Let more students get know the city touring resource on Beibinghe Road.

4. Problems We Had To Overcome
(1)?It was student’s first time join the Cyberfair, a lot of something are new to us, we wade across the stream by feeling the way, learning by doing, and communicated with teachers online if we had problems.
(2)?We faced with a lot of difficulties on collecting material and making web page. We had to visit and interview for collecting firsthand materials. (3)?Time limited, because of the late of school opening date, it was too late for registration. We had to use noon relaxation time to take picture, took use of weekend to visit and interview.
(4)?Our adviser was busy with taking over class for absent teachers, he was very hard. And for that we thank him.
5. Our Project Sound Bite
The web page making was simple but quite difficult. If there are opportunities in the future we shouldn't pass up. We believe no pains, no gains. Studying manners of the students should be changed; cooperative and inquiry learning make students realize the pleasure of learning. Learning more knowledge and developing more skills and abilities, students must be taught to love homeland, love country and love nature.
6. How did your activities and research for this CyberFair Project support standards, required coursework and curriculum standards?
By combining theory with practice and changing studying manners, cooperative and inquiry learning make students realize the pleasure of learning, let they learn more knowledge and enhance more practical abilities.
