1. Description of Our Community
Datong river is also called Haomen river, it is the tributary of Huangshui River, it is located in the valley among Tuolai mount, Lenglongling and Datong mount. The source of Datong river is Jiabagadangqu, from Zhalaizhang where is in the east of Shaguolinnamu jilinling Tianjun County, it is through Muli basin, Jiangcang basin, Mole basin, Menyuan basin from the south, gradually shifted to the South East of Ketu Menyuan county, turn south flows to Xiangtang Minhe countyand joins with Huangshui.Datong River mainly through the prairie marshes above MoleTownship, the river is straight and wide. When Mole basin and Menyuan basin through the mountains, the river twists and turns, the riverbed is narrow, the river in Menyuan basin is wide, there are more suspicious beaches and river diversions, the width is up to 2000 meters. The last part under Menyuan mainly flows through the mountains, the river is steep, the depth is 200-300 meters, there are a lot of canyons, the narrowest gorge riverbed only 20-30 meters. Datong river goes into Huangshui from the source, in addition to a little part flows through Liancheng Gansu province and Honggu district, most of the parts are all in the territory of Qinghai. The trunk stream flows through Tianjun, Gangcha, Qilian, Menyuan, Huzhu, Minhe 6 counties. 2. Summary of Our Project
While Hydropower development solves the problem of water resource and the shortage ofelectric, it also brought some negative effects to the ecological environment of the reservoir area and the lower reaches. These effects are mainly embodied in: (1) the deterioration of the ecological environment around the construction project; (2) the reservoir caused ecological change in reservoir area; (3) Hydropower Stations change the habitat characteristics of thesection with shortage of water under the dam; (4) the water and sandy changes of the river destroyed the downstream and the balance of water salt and water sandy. In the process of making website, we knew more about it, we hope more people can pay attention to environmental problems in Datong River through our wensite.

4. Problems We Had To Overcome
We encountered some difficulties in webpage making,we asked technical person working in Talent and Story Company to solve many technical questions, regarding this we expressed deeply the gratitude.
5. Our Project Sound Bite
Through this activity, I knew more about webpage making and mastered it. Hope that I have more chance to involve in such activity to promote my ability. At the same time, it helps more people understand the importance of protecting environment.
6. How did your activities and research for this CyberFair Project support standards, required coursework and curriculum standards?
We took advantage of a two-day weekend to collect information, take pictures and sort out files using the knowledge we already have in information technology curriculum.
