Project Overview

1. Description of Our Community

Chi Po-Lin is a well-known aerial photographer in Taiwan. Chi Po-Lin shot for 25 years of his life, he flew a total of 2,500 hours. He took 600,000 negatives and digital photos. He passed away in 2017 because he was caught in a plane accident while filming the next episode of Taiwan. Ms. Wan Guanli chairs the foundation. They wish to see a better Taiwan. The first goal of the foundation is a digital collection because Chi Po-Lin took a lot of negative and digital photos when he was filming during his lifetime, and they want to save these, which are some significant treasures to them. The second is environmental education. The Chi Po-Lin Foundation has physical and online courses that everyone can take part in. The third is to find the next Chi Po-Lin and cultivate more photographers like him, whether it's shooting or promotion. Fourth, let everyone see Taiwan. The similarity between Chi Po-Lin Foundation and Chi Po-Lin is they both want to protect the environment and don't want to see a destroyed environment, and they use the environment to shoot and make a video to share with everyone. An annual special exhibition is an event held by the Chi Po-Lin Foundation every year. For example, the theme of Yinghe just ended, and the theme of 2019-2020 is 'See Mountain'. Because Zeppelin liked mountains during his lifetime, they used the photos taken by Chi Po-Lin to make the theme of the annual special exhibition. From 2020 to 2021, 'Shore bay Shore Will be held because Taiwan has many coastlines, and they take coastlines as their them Because it has won many awards, such as? Taiwan Golden Pin Design Award??Japan Good Design Award??Germany Red Dot Design Award?

2. Summary of Our Project

Taiwan is both beautiful and sad, with different appearances throughout the year. Some of the beauty of Taiwan is in the mountains, some in the sea, even in the country alleys, you can find traces of beauty. Taiwan has more than 100 high mountains over 300 meters above sea level, from tropical to subtropical, you can see them everywhere in Taiwan. Coastal mangroves, estuaries, wetlands, and coral reefs constitute a beautiful ecology. Taiwan has bred more than 150,000 ecological species. Taiwan also has many mountainous terrains, such as: Guishan Volcanic Island, Shandong, Yuzhou and other high mountains. Taiwan's tropical and subtropical regions have their pros and cons. The advantage is that Taiwan has many mountains due to its high terrain. The downside is that Taiwan is prone to earthquakes, because Taiwan is located on the boundary plate of the Eurasian-Philippine Sea plate, so it is prone to earthquakes. Taiwan's woes include deforestation and destruction of animal habitats, etc.... The factory discharges waste water every year, causing river pollution and siltation, and fish cannot swim back. A large amount of sedimentation will cause a large amount of sedimentation in the reservoir, affecting the normal operation of the reservoir. The silted sand will flow to the coast with the help of waves. The most common silting sites are estuaries, harbors and the sides of embankments. Taiwan is short of water resources, and the average sedimentation volume is close to 30%. After the typhoon, the sediment at the bottom of the reservoir was so heavy that it took strangers to dig it out. There are 195 countries in the world, but Taiwan is the only country that can be seen from north to south, from tropical to subtropical in one day. Taiwan has its beautiful side. If we don't take good care of this land, then these beautiful things will become bleak.

4. Problems We Had To Overcome

The Po-lin Chi Foundation emphasizes the importance of environmental education and conservation on its promotional website, hoping to raise people's awareness of the impact of humans on the environment and the impact of the environment on humans, and thereby enhance the importance of environmental protection in Taiwan and strengthen the concept of environmental protection. The website provides many photos of Mr. Po-lin Chi's concern for the environment and Taiwan's beautiful environment, allowing people to have a deeper understanding of the importance of environmental protection through this content. In addition to the website, the Po-lin Chi Foundation also holds exhibitions in schools for students to visit and share their experiences and thoughts. Students not only saw much related knowledge about environmental protection but also took many photos of the exhibits and facilities. Through this information, they gained a deeper understanding of the features and main content of the exhibition. In addition, students also posted posters in the school hallway to introduce the works, facilities, and interview content of the exhibition. During break time, they actively introduced the exhibition content to teachers and classmates, allowing more people to feel Mr. Po-lin Chi's concern for the environment and be moved by what he has done.

5. Our Project Sound Bite

For students, participation in the International School Network Expo provides exposure to different educational systems and cultural backgrounds, broadening their horizons and enhancing their cross-cultural communication skills. Students can learn about educational trends, educational resources and academic achievements in different countries and regions, and learn from them to improve their learning and thinking skills.

For schools, participation in the International Schools Network Expo can facilitate networking and cooperation with educational institutions from different countries and regions, and learn about educational innovations and practices in other countries and regions, thus improving the quality of education and international competitiveness. In addition, schools can showcase their educational characteristics and strengths to the outside world by participating in the expo, attracting more students and educational resources.

6. How did your activities and research for this CyberFair Project support standards, required coursework and curriculum standards?

I learned the importance of teamwork. This task is impossible for one person. We all have to work together. The division of labor is particularly important, allowing us to understand our work content faster, save time for mistakes, and achieve rapid work efficiency. I'm in this project and I'm responsible for editing this theme. I practiced the importance of teamwork and division of labor. Internet Expo taught me a lot of new knowledge and how to organize data for optimal efficiency. Among the knowledge I have learned, there are how to set up questions, how to interview, how to ask questions accurately...etc. Accurate questions allow us to organize data more systematically.

Project Elements

1) What information tools & technologies did you used to complete your CyberFair project?

We used computer software and conducted oral interviews with material on the Foundation's website. At the same time, we went to the library to check relevant materials, and checked the website of the foundation online to see if there was anything that could help us. These tools can help us better understand how we should perform and accomplish. The school took us to the Zeppelin Foundation to read the information there, lest we make mistakes.

2) In what ways did you act as "ambassadors" and spokespersons for your CyberFair project both on-line and in person.

3) What has been the impact of your project on your community?

4) How did your project involve other members of your community as helpers and volunteers?

This project can first express what we need and help. Teachers and other community members next to us can learn from this project what materials we still need at that time, and can help us at the same time. The members of those communities include the manager who serves at the counter, the parents who live in the community, and their children. We are very fortunate to have their help, so that we can hand in our homework on time. Some of the materials were provided by them, but we edited them.
