Project Overview

1. Description of Our Community

Our community is centered around Bajrangarh, a historically significant region located in the Guna district of Madhya Pradesh, India. It is a place deeply rooted in cultural heritage, traditional values, and historical pride. The community primarily consists of local families, farmers, small business owners, temple priests, and elders who preserve and share the rich history of Bajrangarh Fort. Bajrangarh is known for its ancient fort, temples, legends, and architectural remains that reflect the valor and legacy of past dynasties such as the Yadav rulers. The people of this region maintain a strong connection to their traditions, festivals, and spiritual beliefs, which continue to shape the social fabric of the community. Despite modernization, the community remains closely tied to its historical identity. However, much of its history is not widely documented in digital form. Through our documentary and website project, we aim to bring recognition to our community’s historical importance and preserve its stories for future generations. Our project highlights the voices of local residents, temple priests, and guardians of history, ensuring that the legacy of Bajrangarh is digitally preserved and shared with a broader audience.

2. Summary of Our Project

Our project, “Bajrangarh Fort Documentary and Digital Archive,” is an initiative to digitally preserve and promote the rich historical and cultural heritage of Bajrangarh Fort, located in Madhya Pradesh, India. The primary aim of this project is to document the historical significance, architectural beauty, legends, and community narratives associated with the fort. Through our website, we have created an interactive platform that includes documentary clips, interviews with local residents and temple priests, historical records, architectural highlights, legends and myths, and a curated photo gallery. By combining research, field visits, photography, videography, and web development, we have transformed traditional historical knowledge into an accessible digital format. This project not only raises awareness about the importance of preserving cultural heritage but also demonstrates how technology can be used as a powerful tool for education and community engagement. By bringing Bajrangarh’s untold stories to a global audience, we aim to ensure that its legacy continues to inspire future generations.

4. Problems We Had To Overcome

During the development of our project, we faced several challenges that required teamwork, research skills and technical problem-solving. One of the major challenges was collecting accurate historical information about Bajrangarh Fort. Much of the fort’s history is preserved through oral traditions and local narratives rather than written digital records. Verifying facts and organizing reliable information required careful research and consultation with local residents and temple authorities. Another challenge was conducting interviews and recording documentary clips. Managing audio clarity, camera stability, lighting conditions, and background noise in outdoor environments required multiple retakes and adjustments. From a technical perspective, designing and developing the website was also challenging. We had to structure content properly, maintain a consistent design theme, ensure mobile responsiveness, and organize multimedia content without affecting performance. Time management was another obstacle, as we balanced academic responsibilities with field visits, editing, and web development. Despite these challenges, we overcame them through teamwork, dedication, and continuous learning, which ultimately strengthened both our technical and research skills.

5. Our Project Sound Bite

Preserving the legacy of Bajrangarh Fort through digital storytelling, our project transforms local history into a global heritage experience.

6. How did your activities and research for this CyberFair Project support standards, required coursework and curriculum standards?

Our CyberFair project strongly support multiple academic subjects and curriculum standards by integrating research, technology, communication, and critical thinking skills. In Social Science (History), we applied historical research methods by studying the origins, rulers, architectural features, and decline of Bajrangarh Fort. We analyzed primary and secondary sources, collected oral histories from local residents, and verified information before documenting it digitally. This strengthened our understanding of historical inquiry, evidence evaluation, and heritage preservation. In Information Technology / Computer Science, we applied web development skills to design and structure our website. We organized digital content, ensured user-friendly navigation, and integrated multimedia elements such as documentary clips, images, and written archives. This supported curriculum standards related to digital literacy, website design, and responsible use of technology. In English Language, we practiced formal writing, script preparation, documentation, and editing. Preparing interview questions and documentary narration enhanced our communication and presentation skills. Additionally, this project encouraged teamwork, time management, problem-solving, and real-world application of classroom knowledge. By combining academic research with digital innovation, our project demonstrates how curriculum standards can be applied beyond textbooks to create meaningful community impact.

Project Elements

1) What information tools & technologies did you used to complete your CyberFair project?

To complete our CyberFair project, we used a combination of research tools, multimedia technology, and web development platforms. For research, we conducted field visits, interviewed local residents and temple authorities, and collected historical information from available references. We organized and verified the data before converting it into digital content. For documentation, we used smartphones and cameras to record documentary videos and capture photographs. Video editing software was used to refine footage, improve audio clarity, and structure the final documentary presentation. For website development, we used Replit, an online coding platform, to build and host our project. Using HTML, CSS, and basic JavaScript within Replit, we designed and structured our website, created interactive sections, and organized multimedia content. Replit allowed us to write, test, and deploy our website efficiently in a collaborative environment. By integrating historical research with digital tools and web technologies, we successfully created an interactive online archive that preserves and promotes the heritage of Bajrangarh Fort.

2) In what ways did you act as "ambassadors" and spokespersons for your CyberFair project both on-line and in person.

Throughout our CyberFair project, we actively served as ambassadors for our community by promoting awareness of Bajrangarh Fort’s historical and cultural significance both online and in person. In person, we interacted with local residents, elders, and temple authorities to gather authentic historical information and oral narratives. By listening to their stories and documenting their knowledge, we showed respect for our community’s heritage and ensured their voices were represented in the digital archive. We also discussed our project with classmates, teachers, and community members to spread awareness about the importance of preserving local history. Online, we shared our website link and documentary with peers, school members, and social platforms to reach a wider audience. By presenting our research in a professional digital format, we helped bring recognition to Bajrangarh Fort beyond our local area. Our project acts as a bridge between traditional history and modern technology, making our community’s heritage accessible to a global audience. Through research, digital storytelling, and public sharing, we proudly represented our community and worked to preserve its legacy for future generations.

3) What has been the impact of your project on your community?

Our project has created a meaningful impact on our community by increasing awareness about the historical and cultural importance of Bajrangarh Fort. Many local residents were proud to see their heritage documented and presented on a digital platform. By recording interviews and preserving oral histories, we helped ensure that valuable knowledge from elders and temple authorities is not lost over time. The project has also encouraged students and young members of the community to take greater interest in local history and heritage conservation. It demonstrated that technology can be used not only for entertainment but also for preserving culture and educating others. Additionally, by creating a publicly accessible website, we have given Bajrangarh Fort a broader digital presence. This may contribute to increased recognition, educational use, and potential tourism interest in the future. Overall, our project strengthened community pride, promoted cultural preservation, and highlighted the importance of combining tradition with modern digital tools.

4) How did your project involve other members of your community as helpers and volunteers?

Our project actively involved various members of our community as helpers and contributors throughout the research and documentation process. Local elders and long-time residents played an important role by sharing oral histories, traditional narratives, and valuable insights about Bajrangarh Fort. Their knowledge helped us understand historical events, legends, and cultural practices associated with the fort. Temple authorities and caretakers assisted us by providing access to certain areas, explaining religious significance, and guiding us during documentation. Their cooperation ensured that our research was respectful and accurate. Additionally, classmates and teachers supported the project by reviewing content, providing feedback, and helping us improve our presentation and structure. Some volunteers assisted in organizing interviews, managing equipment during recordings, and coordinating field visits. Through this collaborative effort, our project became a true community initiative rather than just a student assignment. The involvement of local members strengthened the authenticity of our work and reinforced the shared responsibility of preserving our cultural heritage.
