1. Description of Our Team

Our team consists of four students, Omar, Abdelrahman, Mustafa and Ahmed. Our ages are about 16 and 17. we are together at secondary school, Omar wants to be a Doctor, Abdelrahman wants to be an Engineer, Mustafa wants to be Software Engineer, Ahmed wants to Join the armed forces. we worked together on this project to present it as unique as we can and to show the world how great our revolution was. We divided our work in an organize way so Omar and Abdelrahman built the web site, on the other hand Mustafa and Ahmed worked on collecting the information we need, then we exchanged the jobs and checked each other work, So we could present this humble work, and all of this was under Dr, Mohamed El nagar supervision, by teaching us how to work in a team, giving us Courses at Web Designing and English Instruction

2. Summary of Our Project

first of all , we are the first nation cleaned our place after revolution We find that this delicate situation, showed the reality of this young , exposed metal behind all the years of injustice, tyranny and corruption which is rampant throughout Egypt, we find young girls on the street side by side for too long of hours, but for a long period of days and the revolution within the day the fifth century, have not heard about an incident of harassment and one did not hear about rapes that are filled by our ears every day before the revolution, did not hear that the slum dwellers attacked the residents of affluent neighborhoods and stole their money under the glaring absence of security in the Egyptian street.

3. Our Computer and Internet Access

A. Percentage of students using the Internet at home:more than 50%

B. Number of workstations with Internet access in the classroom:2-3

C. Connection speed used in the classroom:dial-up modem

D. Number of years our classroom has been connected to the Internet:4-6

4. Problems We Had To Overcome

Of course the first problem we faced was how to collect the information and to be truthful, especially there is no any written references to get the information from it , and this is because the Egyptian revolution is a fresh event, so there is no many researches was wrote about it , but we worked hard and browsed the internet and we wrote alot of information by ourselves as we are a witnesses on the revolution . also from the problems we faced was learning how to design a web site , we were not have any backround about it , but we handled this by taking courses in web deigning . the third problem we faced was about organizing our teamwork but under the coach supervision we overcame this, finally we faced a problem in the internet speed but it was not so hard to deal with it

5. Our Project Sound Bite

of course the egyptian revolution is the greatest event that happened in Egypt in the last few century ,so it's very important to make a research about it to make it last for the rest of the life and make the egyptian people and people from all over the world know about it ,and I think it's a big honor for us

6. How did your activities and research for this Doors to Diplomacy Project support standards, required coursework and curriculum standards?

Our project address is about the Egyptian Revolution, and its ethics. we think this address is fit to our state, distrect and school requirement as it's a very National and it's touching every Egyptian. In this project we learned alot of new skills such as: Web Designing, Work on a team work and also we learned more about English instruction. We divided our work in an organize way so Omar and Abdelrahman built the web site, on the other hand Mustafa and Ahmed worked on collecting the information we need, then we exchanged the jobs and checked each other work, So we could present this humble work. Of course learning and teaching using the internet and the modern methods is more effective than traditional methods, as the new methods attract the students more than the traditional one and make him ready to recieve more lessons and information.

Project Elements

1) What information tools & technologies did you used to complete your Doors to Diplomacy project?

In this project we used a lot of technologies that helped us to complete it and make it perfect, such as computer and the internet, television, cameras, newspaper and books. all of this tools helped us to collect the information and to be updated with all the news. Of course the most tool we used was the computer and the internet as it the language of this era. We also get alot of information from books that were written about the revolution even it's so limited, the camera helped us at capturing some photos as one of our participants is a photographer. For sure the division was the tool that made us updated with the news by watching the interviews for the politicians.

2) In what ways did you act as "ambassadors" and spokespersons for your Doors to Diplomacy project both on-line and in person.

We are planning to present our Web project to a different people and places in the society such as: clubs and schools etc... we think that we will have a problem with the embarrassing from presenting the project but we will handle this by taking courses at human resources and presentation skills and we think it will meet the Impressive of the people as our project is so important to our society Finally we will work hard on publishing our Web site by share it with the different social network such as Facebook.

3) What has been the impact of your project on your community?

There is no doubt that our project will make a good impact as it's a references for the Egyptian revolution that contain a lot of truthful information which can help any one who needs any thing related to the Egyptian revolution and we guess that will be so helpful reference for the people of our community. and about other foreign communities it will be like a lesson to teach them not to be silent even for a second on the corruption even it will lead to death. we got from all of this how to show our great revolution to the other community and to show them how were our ethics at it, as we are so proud of it. one of the best thing that we have gotten is to have the spirit of the team work.

4) How did your project involve other members of your community as helpers and volunteers?

While we was working we needed a lot of advices and we took it from a lot of people that wanted to share with us as a volunteers, Because of the sense of cooperation of the Egyptian people ,we met alot of people who wanted to help us with any thing they can , so we took advantages of this by getting information from them , we asked a witnesses on the revolution event and others , we really so thankful for their help.
