Project Overview

1. Description of Our Team

Respecting Indigenous Peoples at different places, we chose this title for our project because we notice that I.P (Indigenous Peoples) are no longer being respected in a way that their culture is being disgraced by others, their homes are being destroyed. To solve this problem here in the Philippines, the government made a law (Republic Act no. 8371) concerning to the rights of Indigenous Peoples. With our project we are hoping that we could help the Viewers Learn new things. Our Project's main purpose is to help people respect and honor the cultures of Indigenous Peoples all over the world. we included the Indigenous peoples in different counties like Australia,Brazil etc. also to help the viewers learn new things.

2. Summary of Our Project

Our project purpose is to help people RESPECT Indigenous Peoples all over the world. This is our projects purpose because we realise that some peoples are no longer respecting these Indigenous Peoples. We are hoping that through our project we can be a bit help to those people who wants to protect the rights of these Indigenous Peoples. They are also Humans like us, If we deserve to be respected,They also Deserve to Be Respected.

3. Our Computer and Internet Access

A. Percentage of students using the Internet at home:more than 50%

B. Number of workstations with Internet access in the classroom:more than 6

C. Connection speed used in the classroom:dedicated connection

D. Number of years our classroom has been connected to the Internet:2-3

4. Problems We Had To Overcome

Our first problem we have to overcome is 'STRESS', but we have to stay calm and always think positive to overcome Stress. Second problem is that we don't know what to do, But Sir Vincent Tabor our T.H.E teacher explained everything to us. He's a big Help to us. And Lastly, at first we didn't had a 'TEAMWORK' that's the reason why we stumbled at first but we rise up and started again. We finished our project with 'TEAMWORK'

5. Our Project Sound Bite

Here's a simple qoute that best summarize our participation in this project, 'A Group Won't Succeed if there's no TEAMWORK' No matter how many you are in your group if there's no teamwork and cooperation you won't possibly succeed.

6. How did your activities and research for this Doors to Diplomacy Project support standards, required coursework and curriculum standards?

Students learned new skills like TEAMWORK,RESPECT, this project fits our required school because the school's purpose is to help the students Sharpen our skill and use our knowledge we learned inside the school. We better understand diplomacy and international issues because of this project we will know what is happening all over the world. Using the internet for teaching and learning is not effective enough. Why? Because not all students are interested in education, all they want from internet is online games, therefore traditional methods is still effective enough for us, because there is someone who there who can guide the students while they are learning. But Different students have different studying style and different learning methods.
