Project Overview

1. Description of Our Team

- Time management was on the difficulties we had encountered while making this project. There were times that our team was not complete on group meetings because of our hectic schedule. But despite that, we had our gadgets, the internet, our laptops that helped us communicate with each other during those times.

2. Summary of Our Project

The bilateral relation between the Republic of the Philippines and the United States of America is manifested by the Philippines – US relations. The diplomacy molded by the two countries back 1940’s still remains strong. The country’s relations are based on shared history and commitment to democratic principles, as well as on economic and military ties. They continue to share a commitment to democracy and human rights. Hand in hand, they work together to foster inclusive economic growth and alleviate poverty. Both governments seek to revitalize and strengthen their partnership by working toward greater security, prosperity and service to Filipinos and Americans alike. The U.S. is also working closely with the Philippines to reduce poverty and increase prosperity.

The U.S. fully supports Philippine efforts to root out corruption, to open economic opportunity, and to invest in health and education. In return, the Philippines exports semiconductor devices, computers, automobile parts, electric machinery, textiles and garments, and the like. With the same goal and same intentions to promote world peace, the countries are bounded together to further improve and broaden their bilateral ties. Treaties pave way for the promotion and benefit of the both countries. In a picture of Philippines and US relations, we can personally testify that it is an ingenious relation and yet we can’t avoid having problems and issues in the picture. Despite the negative development and impacts of the problems, they manage to pin down and continue to uplift values. Treaties, agreements, trades and investments lay concrete the relation between Philippines and US. They come hand in hand to bring changes and to implement the country’s extradition treaties.

- Time management was on the difficulties we had encountered while making this project. There were times that our team was not complete on group meetings because of our hectic schedule. But despite that, we had our gadgets, the internet, our laptops that helped us communicate with each other during those times.

5. Our Project Sound Bite

“With good relations and great tactics, there is a better tomorrow” This means that when it comes to these kinds of things, nothing can stand on our way when we have the right attitude, strategy and relationship. Nothing could ever be impossible when we just unite and when we untie, we can grab that opportunity of a better tomorrow.

6. How did your activities and research for this Doors to Diplomacy Project support standards, required coursework and curriculum standards?

- We as united persons followed the different standards and instructions for us to be able to join this competition. We learned more about the relations of our country to the United States of America. By this project we developed some of our skills. This also expounded on our knowledge on how we are going to create our webpage. We let our ideas build the content of our project. We then discovered that we are able to use the things taught to us. Also using high technologies helped us understand and learn more about the things we need. We students limited our works and researches on what a certain person of our age can achieve. We can say that by this project of us, we increased our knowledge because of our researches.
