Project Description: Miriam Defensor Santiago was an elected judge who set a good example to everyone. She is recognized as one of the ten most Outstanding Professionals of the Philippine Junior Chamber of Commerce and was ranked 69th in the 100 most powerful women in the world. She filed the most number of bills in the senate which made the people of the Philippines idolize her because of her great leadership skills and capabilities to make the country disciplined. In our project we made her as a good subject because of her courageous and brilliant crusade against corruption in the Philippines. She was cited "for bold and moral leadership in cleaning up a graft-ridden government agency", charisma and her signature witticisms that teach every person to work hard and to never give up easily. Leadership in our project has been described as the process of social influence in which one person can enlist the aid of support of others in the accomplishment of a common task. Like Miriam, every leader must embrace his/her powers and respect every right of his/her people. Good leaders are made not born. If you have the desire and will power, you can become an effective leader. The basis of good leadership is an honorable character and selfless service to his/her organization. Back to our main subject, Miriam Defensor Santiago garnered many awards because of her great works and contributions to our society. She was announced as the judge of the International Criminal Court (ICC) as of today. This Anti-corruption Senator personally argued and won anti-charter change (cha-cha) case in Supreme Court and helped the children have a secured welfare. Our main topic aims to build the inner self of one person and be a good ruler of a country, organization and other groups. Leaders were meant to lead the way, show the way to the right path.
