Project Description: "Their country and today, Koreans and Filipinos, despite having different cultures, languages and Baguio City, Philippines in the 1900’s had been occupied by mostly Cordilleras but now, a number of Koreans live in the city because of several reasons. First, for educational purposes, since Baguio is known as the Northern Education Capital of the Philippines, Koreans are attracted to live in the City. Second, Baguio, being called the city of Pines has cool climate that is loved by Koreans. Other reasons why Koreans come to Baguio is because of the hospitality of the Cordillerans who accept them even if there are different barriers like culture and language. Lastly, some Koreans come here for the resurrection of our souls, most of them are missionaries who travel around the world to teach people about Christianity. Is it easy to live in a place where the culture is different? Based on this question, our website was created and concentrated on the importance of having a good leader in order to survive in a different environment with different culture. Particularly, we would like to know how Koreans manage to survive in a place with a culture different from theirs. Specifically, our site focused on the leadership of a Korean Pastor, Mr. Sung Soo, who had been in the Philippines for 21 years. His humble beginnings, difficulties and success in leading Koreans in Baguio will be featured in our website. His leadership is summed up in one quotation that states “With great power comes great responsibility”. Through our website, we hope to inform our viewers that we can do everything is possible if we believe and unite. Mr. Sung Soo, dreamt 21 years ago to build a community of Koreans in a place outside beliefs are having good relationship with one another in a place they call their home…Baguio City, Philippines. "
