Project Overview

1. Description of Our Community

wuzhong city is at the central ningxia, the important place of irrigation area, also the main settlement place of Chinese hui group. It enjoy the name of “saishang jiangnan” and “ saishang pearl”. In its coverage, all the county, town, village are also in the special names, such as guoqiao, shangqiao, banqiao, malianqu, qinqu, hanqu, yangmahu, guanmahu, biandangou etc… till now, there is also no detailed information and report to this. Our group is willing to take this chance to explore the culture to see the valuable information.

4. Problems We Had To Overcome

First of all,our students are very busy.It is very hard for us to collect together.That is to say, we have little time to reveiw,invite.Secondly, the aims that we need interview are far from our home, and the traffic of some place aren't convinent.

5. Our Project Sound Bite

The bus drivers and tickets seller know we will publicize the ba langhu, they are very warm and let us take the photo on the bus and let us take the photo by stop the car at wenpeng. The biggest feeling we have is the warmness of ba langhu people. They love their farmland, and polite and hospital to the strangers. The keeper of ba langhu farmland help us to find the ba langhu date, let us pick the part details. And also help us to introduce the character of soil. Makes us satifactory. Learning: the biggest character of ba lang hu people is warm and hospitality. Malianqu county: in the government, we meet Mr. wang in the office, the friend in middle school. He warmly help us to print the details about the malianqu county and patiently answer all our questions. Learning: our school has many students over the country. Hope they can be back to work for the homeland.

6. How did your activities and research for this CyberFair Project support standards, required coursework and curriculum standards?

Our Cyberfair project address this content standards:Http://yellowsheepriver.com. From this project, the ablity of communication of our students have been trained.

Project Elements

1) What information tools & technologies did you used to complete your CyberFair project?

To complete this project, we use about 10 computers,3 telephones, 3 digital cameras and some bicycles for interviewing, inviting, and making our webs.We think the most important tools is the computer. Without them,we can't complete our web.

2) In what ways did you act as "ambassadors" and spokespersons for your CyberFair project both on-line and in person.

Before the interview, we hold a small meeting to decide the interview content, route, and bus issue. By contact the students, we can list the workable plan, after arrival, we designate the job to have the interview according to his own view. In the interview, we can hold the thinking: kind, warm, honest and time-saving, try our best not trouble the related people’ work and to interview as detailed as possible.

3) What has been the impact of your project on your community?

We can have the deep impression to wuzhong local culture, and also can show the students kind, warm, honest to communicate to the local people. At the same time. Our students can have the knowledge of the local economy and production ability situation. Through this item, we found that the place near the wuzhong downtown are all rich, for the local can do the business easily, to take the job in the city to spread the third industry development. But the place far from the wuzhong is relatively poor for it mainly rely on farm. And the villagers are in the low income.

4) How did your project involve other members of your community as helpers and volunteers?

As the local warmly recommended and broaden the local situation, special products and geographic scenery, they try their best to advise us the best route, most influential enterprises and the talents.

5) Discoveries, Lessons and Surprises (Optional)

In this match, we found that the distance with the city area makes big difference to the economy. Lesson: in this interview, owing to careless talk, we are misunderstood as the program of focus interview and keep us away worrying publicize its negativeness. Surprise: many students returned to the homeland to use their ability and become the talent in his industry.
