Project Overview

1. Description of Our Community

zizhong county is located at southern part of Sichuan province, at the middle of chengyu line. It belongs to the typical hill area, the agricultural county, the test county of first lot of “ power county” in Sichuan province. zizhong county has 1.3 million population, 33 town, with nearly 1.1 million arable field. The main products are wheat, corp, corn, red zhao, sugarcrane, nut, cole and orange. In 1985, zizhong was listed as the orange production basis by the state council. In Mar. 2004, zizhong county was named as chian taluoke blood orange homeland” by china economic forest.

2. Summary of Our Project

zizhong wen temple is located at the zizhong Sichuan province zizhong county chonglong town scholar street. Building northern song dynasty yongxi year(984—987), the temple is only with one Confucius sculpture, with the influence deeply. Zizhong wen temple has the most big, high, complicated Confucius position—the holy teacher Confucius position, it is named by wang chaowen the famous aesthetic. It is famous for its complicated building, harmonious arrangement and well protection,. It stands for years, coming out the new shine and shadow.

4. Problems We Had To Overcome

1)Through this international webpage match, six students and teachers step up a new level 2)Through this activity three students attending the match know more about the zizhong wen temple, knowing ruxue creator-confucius clearing zizhong wen temple standing sculpture, and the position against the king’s order. They get to know about the zizhong wen temple building and arrangement character, deeply knowing the importance of zizhong wen temple and historic relic value. 3)Through a series of activity, all the staff felt the brilliance of zizhong wen temple and deepen the knowing about Confucius. 4)In the activity, the students learned how to communicate and cooperate with each others, learn the self-confidence, self-rely, learn how to defeat the difficulties, nurturing the cooperation and strengthening the friendship between teacher and students.

5. Our Project Sound Bite

We hope we can try our best to publicize the zizhong wen temple, protect the zizhong wen temple, to let the zizhong wen temple go out of the country.

6. How did your activities and research for this CyberFair Project support standards, required coursework and curriculum standards?

Taking the four great wen temple as the main target, combining the local history, writing, Chinese history, geography, info-tech as the basis, we got to know the zizhong wen temple building, arrangements, its changing (through zizhong wen temple interview. We know the zizhong wen temple and Confucius. We can see how Confucius visitd to listen to the music, we understand the culture peak relation with zizhong wen temple. We feel the zizhong wen temple and zizhong politics, economy and culture, knowing the historic culture relic importance.

2) In what ways did you act as "ambassadors" and spokespersons for your CyberFair project both on-line and in person.

We all agreed that if we want to know zizhong wen temple deeply, we should visit as visitors, reporters and researchers. Listening to the explanation of the guide, searching the related details, taking the relavant pictures. We made the webpage for the zizhong wen temple and Confucius research, we uploaded the website through the website to let people know zizhong wen temple and Confucius. We want to enhance the popularity of zizhong wen temple to let it go to the country and the world in order to arouse people’s love and treasure sense to the historic relic

3) What has been the impact of your project on your community?

When we visited zizhogn wen temple and did the research, all the classes in grade 9 hold the acitivity” Confucius in my heart, Confucius and wen temple, Confucius standing sculpture puzzle, I read lunyu”, strengthening the zizhong wen temple and Confucius knowing.

4) How did your project involve other members of your community as helpers and volunteers?
