Project Overview

1. Description of Our Community

Zhu Yuan town covers an area of 178.32 square kilometers, transportation is convenient, there is Baocheng railway in the territory, and it is 6 kilometers away from Mianguang high-speed. The climate is mild with abundant rainfall, annual average temperature is 20 ?, annual rainfall is about 1200 mm. The town is rich in resources, there are Liyuan stone, coal, bauxite, limestone, iron ore, refractory clay and other high grade mineral products to be developed, there are tea, sericulture, walnut, black fungus, Tung rich forest products, water resources are more abundant. It is the economical town of Qingchuan county and the industrial Town of Guangyuan.

2. Summary of Our Project

At the beginning of Webfare this year, our team has decided 'Qingchuan Liyuan inkstone' as the project, and has a long time research and demonstration. In the process, we are more confident to do this project. In the interview, we know the Qingchuan Liyuan inkstone inkstone carving techniques. It is Condense, evolution, crystallization and precipitation of people’s labor practice and wisdom. In a sense, it is the embodiment of the native literature, art and folk customs. It has deep cultural connotation. At present, Liyuan inkstone Art Gallery has established. The traditional product 'Liyuan inkstone inkstone' is famous in nationwide, and it has listed into the ranks of the famous inkstone. Production has transferred from a family business evolution to production cooperatives. Production continued to expand in size, the product is not single, developing to the daily necessities. So it is more valuable. In this activity, we have the following experiences. First, through the interview, we increased knowledge, expanding horizons. Find the most valuable thing in life is to love life. Second, through the interview, we have the ability to communicate with people and writing level has been significantly improved, we had an interview in the day and made up the information at night, we all forgot the fatigue, articles in the middle of the night was born. Third, through the interview, our team spirit is cultivated, we overcome difficulties together. We share the success together. Forth, through our efforts, the Qingchuan culture displayed in front of the world. Let more people understand, it has a positive effect on the development of enterprises. This is also our purpose to do this project.

With the great help from Zhejiang province, over ten million yuan investment on our school's hardware have helped to equip over 300 Lenovo M7150 computers. Hence the computer course became a compulsory course, and all the students mastered the using of computer. Besides, 10M fiber high speed of internet has been accessed, and the network speed has been improved.

4. Problems We Had To Overcome

Technical difficulties: we knew nothing at all about photographic technique at the beginning, most of the photos can not be used, and photo processing can not start. Through the guidance of the teacher, we learned a lot. Interview difficulties: it is the first for us to interview, so we are very shy. With the encouragement of the teacher, we talked happily with the interviewer. Time difficulties: the four of us are from different classes, and specific interview is conflict to class time. The interview schedule is arranged on weekends and break time.

5. Our Project Sound Bite

When we apply to join Webfare, We all felt very strange. With the encouragement of the teacher, we clear the purpose, task and work. In the actual interview, we learned to communicate with people, to face the difficulties, to overcome difficulties. Learn photography, finishing interview record, upload text and pictures. Editing in the guidance of teachers, and learned a lot of aesthetic sense. The more important thing is training our team cooperation consciousness and the ability of social practice.

6. How did your activities and research for this CyberFair Project support standards, required coursework and curriculum standards?

We are the occupation senior high school students, regular curriculum attaches great importance to practice and social practice activities, half of our curriculums are practice. So we regard Webfare as a social practice of our students. The school attaches great importance, to formulate the corresponding assessment rules, to examine the participation of students. Students are also full of curiosities, their enthusiasm is high, and they are looking forward to the arrival of each interview task. We are always full of confidence to go out of the campus, and harvest a lot back to school. Through this activity, the ability of observing and social practice ability have been excised, we also aware our deficiencies in study, so as to improve the learning initiative.

2) In what ways did you act as "ambassadors" and spokespersons for your CyberFair project both on-line and in person.

A part of students do not quite understand our theme, we first established the scientific expedition team to investigate the local stone and product. In second interview, we act as media reporters to understand what we want to know. At the same time, we experience the process by ourselves. Finally we will turn the result into thematic networks to browse.

3) What has been the impact of your project on your community?

'Qingchuan Liyuan inkstone inkstone' is the crystallization of the wisdom of Qingchuan people, especially in the '5.12' earthquake, 'Liyuan inkstone inkstone' with good reputation has gotten the help of relevant departments, Qingchuan Liyuan inkstone stone carving art museum was built here at the first time. We decided the 'Qingchuan Liyuan inkstone inkstone' as the theme to allow more people to understand the folk the stunt person, to carry forward these unique skills, and also make these products with local characteristics go to the world, developing local economic.

4) How did your project involve other members of your community as helpers and volunteers?

We met a lot of difficulties in this activity, but we decided to do the research better. We submitted the plan to the school, the school leaders attach great importance, the school master contacted the interviewees for us, and the local art gallery allowed us to visit any time. Our interview had gotten warm reception of art curator Deng Cheng, from the beginning to the end, accompanied us to visit and accepted our interview. He and his staff also taught us to experience the process, provided a lot of valuable information to us, so that each of us had confidence to do well in this topic.

5) Discoveries, Lessons and Surprises (Optional)

Before doing this research, we do not think the stone also has such a large value. In order to carry forward these unique technologies, the local people were so persistent. The lesson is: the first time to participate in social practice activities, lack of experience, so we are very nervous. Photography is not qualified. In this activity, we were surprised that how they are looking for more successors, who can inherit and develop local art with characteristics. At the end the interview, they let us introduce more lovers to learn arts.
