Project Overview

1. Description of Our Community

Zhutang Township, Changhua County is located in the center of the Zhuoshui River fan-shaped plain. The land in the township has been alluvial from the Zhuoshui River over the years. Due to the fertile soil, abundant water sources and mild climate, this place also breeds thriving agricultural landscapes: Zhuoshui Rice, Vegetables, grapes, chard, dragon fruits, peaches, pears, watermelon and other products, as long as you are willing to sweat and work hard, there are all of them here, just like a 'hometown' of agricultural treasures.

2. Summary of Our Project

Our Zhutang Township is very rich in Zhutang rice, vegetables, grapes, sakya, dragon fruits, peaches, pears, watermelons, orchids, mushrooms, cherry tomatoes and eggs. We would like to introduce our agricultural products to you so that you can get to know Zhutang Township.

4. Problems We Had To Overcome

We encountered that due to the epidemic, the start of the winter vacation was postponed, so the time for the production and discussion of the topic was also delayed, worrying that the time was too late. Later, through online discussions, this problem was overcome.

5. Our Project Sound Bite

Using the topics to introduce our hometown and know our school to people all over the world can let more people understand the beauty of our hometown, and we are a very good school.

6. How did your activities and research for this CyberFair Project support standards, required coursework and curriculum standards?

a. Collect information online and access to experts in agricultural production. b. Establish contact with the domain experts that are giving interviews. c. Plan the interview traffic routes and the sequence of effective field trip. d. Make interview and field trip process sequence schedules and take down significant notes. e. Interview the experts personally, visit their businesses and take photos, videos and recording. f. Sort data, write comments and build a website. g. Present the introduction and Promotion of Cyberfair Projects to others.

Project Elements

1) What information tools & technologies did you used to complete your CyberFair project?

a. Every classroom in our school is a smart classrooms, where 75-inch large touchscreens can be seen, help our teachers for the convenience of teaching. b. There are optical wireless network launchers in every classroom. We can can use one wifi internet everywhere on campus.

2) In what ways did you act as "ambassadors" and spokespersons for your CyberFair project both on-line and in person.

a. To get to know agricultural products in Zhutang Township cultivation process personally, and through field trip, researchers can reinforce their learning experiences. b. Through field trips and interviews, the researchers become aware of the problems the industries are facing and deliberate on them, searching for solutions.

3) What has been the impact of your project on your community?

We introduce you the special agricultural products of Zhutang Township, so that more people will know that we have very rich agricultural products in our hometown and come to visit Zhutang Township.

4) How did your project involve other members of your community as helpers and volunteers?

None of our teachers live in Zhutang Township, so the discussion of messages through the Internet, line, and mail is a very important tool for us to complete this report.

5) Discoveries, Lessons and Surprises (Optional)

We found that in order to teach us to design and complete works, the teachers spent a lot of time preparing before each class, thank you!!
