Project Overview

1. Description of Our Team

Doors of Deplomacy team members are; Giorgi 16, Zura 16, Giorgi 16 and Tamari 15.We joined together to do this project as we consider that the global warming would be an axellent topic to work, becouse we think that global warming is the world problem. We were involved to search all information and teachers Luiza and Inga helped us, they gave instructions.Inga helped us to make the translation of the project. Our friends Mishiko and Nino gave us a great help.

2. Summary of Our Project

This project is desined to explane what global warming is and inform public about the serious harmful effects of global warming on our planet. the website is desined to present facts with our opinion. We found out the information about the building of a new factory working on the remains of raw materials.

We had trouble sistematically with a low internet connection.

4. Problems We Had To Overcome

We had trouble entering information for the personal narative. We had problems with a low internet connection in the school building. We had to work at home separately and it was difificult so we used Flash and skipe.We had troubles loading information in English,time was up and we were nervous, so we had to ask for help to 'secretservice'. Ramaz gave us help and solved our problem. Thank him.

5. Our Project Sound Bite

Global warming was an exellent topic to research and we enjoyed working together. By working on this project we were able to learn more about international, ecological andenvironmental problems and trier to find the ways to solve these problems.

6. How did your activities and research for this Doors to Diplomacy Project support standards, required coursework and curriculum standards?

By working on this project we were able to earn points toward our gifted and talented program at school.We also met the school's requarements in using the internet to do research.

Project Elements

1) What information tools & technologies did you used to complete your Doors to Diplomacy project?

Mainly we used computer to access the internet. We used every possible means: printer, scanner, skype, flash, camera. We also conducted oral interview with Mr.Lejava, our parents and teachers to gain guidance and outside perspectives.

2) In what ways did you act as "ambassadors" and spokespersons for your Doors to Diplomacy project both on-line and in person.

We conducted a compaign about the parotection of environment. We hope that, with the helo of booklets, ads, school newspaper and our website, students and public will learn more about this important issue.

3) What has been the impact of your project on your community?

We belive our project can make a difference. By providing facts about global warming and educating the public. We hope people may form opinion about this issue and prom them to vote accordingly in LOcal and National elections.

4) How did your project involve other members of your community as helpers and volunteers?

Not only the main original group, but the whole school was actively involved in the realization of this important project. Thanks to the people who helped us: our teachers, students, our friends. Tank to the employees of the company 'nika-2004'

5) Discoveries, Lessons and Surprises (Optional)

We gave an interview to newspaper 'Rustaveli'. The newspaper is a joint issue of three schools in Rustavi.
