Description of Our Community: Taiwan is known for its unique culture with a wide range of special populations contributing to diverse traditions. Taiwan’s indigenous tribes such as the Amis are known for their astounding voice, and Atayal are known for their pattern technique. Celebrating these unique cultures is crucial for passing down cultural heritage to future generations. Vox Nativa is an Indigenous school working toward educating young Indigenous individuals about their own culture while incorporating modern education. We hope through this research, we’re able to broaden public awareness regarding these cultures.

Project Description: For this project, our group investigates education for Taiwan natives and the organization, Vox Nativa Taiwan. The organization supports the education of indigenous children and provides valuable opportunities for students through global choral performances. Taiwan Vox Nativa volunteers spend time on weekends, winter, and summer vacations to improve their basic coursework. Students of Vox Nativa Taiwan receive academic knowledge and equality of education via the Taiwan Vox Nativa association. Cyber fairs help lead us to a greater understanding of the challenges Native people face during education. The research shows the limits and lack of resources for Taiwan natives' education and how Taiwan Vox Nativa solves the problem. They also help show creative ways to show the traditional culture of Taiwanese natives to the world through the choir. In summary, this research can help individuals gain a further understanding of Taiwan Native and Vox Nativa Taiwan.
