8. Our school only has one email address. How can multiple teachers at our school register for your projects?
Our registration system is based on the assumption that each individual will have a unique email address. Unfortunately you will need to coordinate within your school to use the same contact account amongst yourselves. You can do so by "generalizing" the information located in the contact information area. For example, under teacher contact name you might insert the school name with general school information instead of personal information. Also choose a school login and password instead of a personal login and password.
Apologies for the inconvenience this causes you on your end but in most circumstances the unique email address system is applicable.

9. How do I unsubscribe?
To opt-out of receiving our newsletter:
You can use our quick opt-out feature at http://www.globalschoolnet.org/membership/optout.html. Simply enter your email address EXACTLY as it's shown on the To: line of the newsletter you receive (that's the email address in our database).
You can also edit your membership contact information and select NO at the bottom of the form. Edit your record at http://www.globalschoolnet.org/membership/login.html.
If you'd like your membership deleted *entirely*, please send email to membership@gsn.org with "Delete Member" in the subject of your message. Make sure you send email from the email address you are registered under, or include the email address in the body of the message, so we can easily identify you.
**Deleting your membership results in our system unsubscribing you from our members announcement list as well as deleting your access to our member promotions area.

13. Why should we become a member of GSN? What are the benefits?
Global SchoolNet is proud to celebrate two decades of excellence in bringing innovative online collaborative learning activities to educators and students around the world. As former teachers, our goal has been to offer unique and imaginative tools, resources and content…absolutely free of charge, so that no child (or teacher!) is left behind. We are particularly grateful to our corporate partners and our valued members for their support of GSN’s endeavors. Without you, our accomplishments would have been possible. We are developing exciting new programs and services to help prepare kids to be good global citizens and productive adults. But, in order to do this, sometimes change is necessary. Global SchoolNet is building our future by becoming a voluntary member-supported organization. Rest assured, one thing that will not change is our commitment to provide our web content free of charge. That is why we are putting the call out to our friends and valued members. We need your help. We have created a new level of membership. With your donation of $40 or more, you will become a Contributing Member in Global SchoolNet. In addition to all the benefits of our free membership, Contributing Members will receive a special thank you gift. Best of all, you will be taking an active part in helping us to enrich learning for kids locally and globally. You can make a difference. Become a Contributing Member. Your donation will help us to continue to fulfill our mission, providing the absolute best in collaborative online learning activities, free of charge to educators and their students around the world. We can’t do it alone, but together with your help, we can make a difference in the lives of kids by helping them to harness the power of the Internet in powerful ways to prepare them for the future. In addition, if you want to become more involved in GSN and in our projects, we encourage you to become a volunteer. Share your love of the power of education by donating your time and expertise.
Sincerely,
Global Schoolhouse Membership membership@globalschoolnet.org http://www.globalschoolnet.org

14. How can I register without using my personal password?
You can access most of our website without registering.
However, in order to actually participate in any of our projects and programs, you must set up a password-protected account. We encourage you to use a unique password for this site... not your usual secure password.
For several of our projects, we only request your name and zip code.
However, when you register to have your students interact with other students in a project, we require complete school address and contact information and often your home contact information as well. This is for the protection of all participants... we want to know who is interacting with other teachers. Since a member of our staff reviews every registration, this helps us to ascertain the registrant's authenticity.
We NEVER share, reveal, or otherwise use this information other than to identify you to communicate with you about the project for which you register and, on occasion, to email you information about our programs which you may find useful.
