Description of Our Community: Our local community consists of individuals with disabilities in Taipei, Taiwan, who, despite legal protections and growing awareness, still face challenges in accessibility, inclusion, and employment. While Taipei has advanced disability-friendly infrastructure and policies, societal attitudes and interactions often lack full inclusivity. This diverse community includes individuals with physical, sensory, and cognitive disabilities, each requiring institutional support and societal recognition.

Project Description: Our project promotes awareness and inclusion for individuals with disabilities, especially those with visual impairments. We will volunteer with a foundation to gain firsthand experience and use our school’s electronic bulletin board to share information. Additionally, we will visit classrooms during breaks to conduct interactive activities like vision impairment simulations. Through these efforts, we aim to foster empathy, inclusivity, and a more supportive community.
