Description of Our Community: 1. Description of Our Community

We are students of Neiil World School, Guna — a vibrant educational community situated in Madhya Pradesh, India. Our school brings together students from various towns, villages and backgrounds across the Guna district, fostering an environment of unity, learning and cultural respect.

Guna, often called the gateway to Malwa and Bundelkhand, is rich in heritage and natural beauty. It lies amidst quiet hills, historic sites and rural landscapes, offering a link between our rapidly modernising lives and the traditions of the past.

Our community is known for its warm hospitality, strong family values and deep connection to its roots. While agriculture remains a major source of livelihood in the surrounding villages, the town is steadily growing in education and civic infrastructure — without forgetting its cultural identity.

Near us lie many heritage-locations and scenic spots that reflect our region’s richness. Landmarks such as Bajrangarh Fort, the sacred hill of Hanuman Tekri, the peaceful retreat of Ram Tekri Tapovan, the ancient Malpur Caves (Shiv Mandir, Malpur-ki-Gufa), the serene Gopi Krishan Sagar Dam, and the revered Bees Bhuja Devi Temple are all part of the landscape of our home. These places mirror our past, inspire our present and enrich our future.

Project Description: Project Description: Our project is based on Bajranggarh Fort, a historical fort located near Guna in Madhya Pradesh. This fort is one of the oldest landmarks in our area and is known for its rich history and beautiful surroundings. It was once a stronghold of local rulers and later came under the rule of the Marathas. Although it is now partly in ruins, the fort still shows the glory of its past through its grand gates, temples, palaces, and the large water tank inside.

Through this project, we aim to explore the history, architecture, and cultural importance of Bajranggarh Fort. We will visit the fort to take photographs, talk to local people, and collect information from books and online sources. Our goal is to make others aware of the historical value of this fort and encourage people to protect and respect such monuments. By doing this, we hope to help preserve our local heritage and inspire others to learn more about the history of Guna.
