Description of Our Community: Our community is located in the Bùzi Redevelopment Zone of Beitun District, Taichung City. This area is known for its low-density buildings and high green coverage. The streets are wide and neatly designed, with rows of trees and comfortable walking spaces everywhere. Because it is close to the Dakeng Scenic Area, the air is fresh and the natural scenery is rich, making it a wonderful place to live and relax.

We are students from Feng Chia Elementary School. During our weekly project class, we discuss, share ideas, and work together to complete our community research. Through observation and discussion, we decided to choose the “Bùzi Redevelopment Zone” as the theme of our project.

When choosing the topic, everyone first proposed their own ideas, and then we voted to select the most suitable direction. In the end, we all agreed that exploring our own community and understanding its features is the most meaningful and relatable choice.

The living conveniences around the Bùzi Redevelopment Zone have also been improving. Bùzi Park offers a nice place to exercise and take walks, and the nearby Provincial Highway 74 makes commuting easier. There are also many new shops and delicious food options in the area. Although the community is still developing, through this project, we hope more people will discover the charm of the Bùzi Redevelopment Zone and work together to make our community even better.

Project Description: Environmental and living quality have always been important issues in community development. Before starting our project, we took a fresh look at the place we live in and asked ourselves: “What are the features of the Bùzi Redevelopment Zone? What aspects could be improved?” Through our visits and discussions, we found that although the Bùzi Redevelopment Zone has a comfortable environment, plenty of green spaces, and good living quality, the community guide information, food maps, and park introductions are still incomplete. Therefore, we decided to create a “Bùzi Redevelopment Zone Guide and Improvement Proposal” designed for elementary school students. Our goals include: • Creating an elementary school version of the Bùzi Travel Handbook • Building maps of parks, food spots, and walking routes • Interviewing residents about what they like most about Bùzi Through this project, we hope to help more people understand the charm of the Bùzi Redevelopment Zone and propose ideas to make the community friendlier and more vibrant.
