Description of Our Community: Our selected theme for community engagement is Environmental Awareness, with a focused outreach in Faridabad. The city has been facing significant environmental challenges, particularly hazardous Air Quality Index (AQI) levels and rising pollution across various areas. In alignment with precautionary and corrective measures to address these concerns, our students have actively stepped forward as responsible representatives of change. They have worked to spread awareness about the causes and effects of air pollution, preventive strategies, and sustainable practices that citizens can adopt in their daily lives. Through campaigns, discussions, digital outreach, and community interactions, students have emphasized key cautionary measures such as reducing vehicular emissions, promoting public transport and carpooling, minimizing waste burning, conserving energy, and increasing green cover through plantation drives. By engaging with the local community, our students aim to foster a sense of collective responsibility and inspire conscious action toward building a cleaner, healthier, and more sustainable Faridabad.

Project Description: Our chosen area of community engagement is Environmental Awareness. In recent times, our city, Faridabad has been grappling with alarming levels of air pollution and a hazardous Air Quality Index (AQI), raising serious health and environmental concerns. Keeping this in mind, our initiative centers on educating and sensitizing the community about the precautionary steps that can help combat pollution and improve air quality. Students have taken on the role of young environmental ambassadors, reaching out to residents to highlight practical and responsible measures such as reducing vehicle usage, preventing waste burning, conserving electricity, adopting eco-friendly habits, and supporting plantation drives. Through awareness campaigns, community interaction, and advocacy efforts, students are encouraging citizens to recognize their shared responsibility in restoring environmental balance. The objective is not only to inform but to inspire collective action toward creating a cleaner, greener, and healthier Faridabad for present and future generations.
