Description of Our Community: We live in Wanhua, Taipei, Taiwan. Through an expert sharing his research with us, we learned that Wanhua is a low-lying area. There are rivers near New Taipei City, but many tall buildings are built along the rivers now. These buildings block the wind paths, so the wind cannot come in and the heat cannot go out. As a result, Wanhua is one of the hottest areas in Taipei.

Project Description: We plan to interview the expert to learn how important it is to reduce energy use to cool down the Earth. We also studied a book edited by the expert, Dr. Hsu, who works at Academia Sinica and studies Taiwan’s temperature. Finally, we plan to make a poster to call on everyone to take public transportation and use fewer cars.
