Description of Our Community: Our project focuses on the interconnected communities of Taoyuan District and the Ma’taian Stream region, where everyday civic practices and grassroots volunteers demonstrate a strong culture of cooperation and resilience. By defining our community through these "Ordinary Heroes," we show how a local culture of mutual help and environmental stewardship contributes to global sustainability.

Project Description: Our project explores Taiwan’s unique culture of volunteerism and the spirit of mutual help within our communities. Inspired by the “Shovel Heroes” and everyday citizens who give their time to help others, we interviewed volunteers, visited recycling stations, and researched how these efforts support society. Through this project, we hope to share Taiwan’s helping culture with the world and inspire others to contribute to their own communities.
