Headline: Tell what your school or organization is doing. Mention that it's an Internet learning activity or that it's part of the US Department of State's Doors to Diplomacy CyberLearning Program.

First paragraph: Include your city, state and the date in your "dateline." Then briefly tell the who, what, where, when and why.

Second paragraph: Give a little background information about the project--that it's a part of the US Department of State's Doors to Diplomacy  learning program, managed by the Global SchoolNet Foundation, a non-profit organization that is dedicated to helping students become responsible global citizens. Tell how many local students are involved and what category you are researching and why the topic was chosen.

Third paragraph: Be sure to highlight the event's date and time so that the media will know where and when to attend. Also include a contact person name and phone number the media can call for more information.
